The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation held a thorough, practical workshop on Ultrasound-Guided Interventions (Lower Spine) on 13th February 2026 at SIPMR with the aim of enhancing clinical skills and advancing evidence-based interventional practices. The workshop aimed to improve participants comprehension of ultrasound-guided techniques.
It was a great honor for the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation to host Dr Levent Ozcakar as the facilitator of this workshop. He is Professor and Head of the Department of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine at Hacettepe University Medical School, Ankara, Turkey and currently serves as Vice President of the International Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine (ISPRM)
Participants were able to connect anatomical knowledge with real-time imaging during the academic sessions, which featured in-depth discussions bolstered by live ultrasound demonstrations. In addition to interactive case-based discussions that promoted attendees' active learning and professional engagement, emphasis was placed on safe, accurate, and successful interventional approaches.
The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation extends sincere appreciation to the facilitator, participants, and organizing team for their contributions to the success of this academic activity and remains committed to advancing continuous professional development through such educational initiatives.
