Institute of Professional Psychology - BU IPP-BU offers BS, MS/MPhil and PhD programs in psychology to meet the health, organizational, educational and human development needs of our society

The Institute of Professional Psychology has been established in response to dire need for mental health professionals and acute dearth of professional services in Pakistan. Our mission is to provide excellent education for career in Psychology through integration of theory and professional practice. We strive to provide our students with every possible resource for academic success. The programs offered at graduate and post graduate levels are tailored to meet the latest curriculum requirements in the field of psychology; with specializations in domains of Clinical, Educational and Organizational psychology. We not only educate people through the degree programs, but also with various workshops and training sessions that cater diverse topics. It works as an attempt to give our masses the flavor of psychology. Our dedicated faculty members are not only scholars but practicing psychologist with years of hands-on experience. December 12, 2024 | Annual Sports Gala 🏆

A proud moment for the Institute of Professional Psychology (IPP) as our students showcased outstanding enthusiasm, teamwork, and sportsmanship during the Inter-Sports Gala (Sports Week) held from 8th to 12th December 2024 at the university campus.

IPP demonstrated remarkable performance across multiple events, securing 1st Position in Tug of War and Volleyball, and emerging as Runner-Up in Badminton. These achievements reflect the dedication, discipline, and collective spirit of our students throughout the gala.

In recognition of their active participation and consistent efforts, the Institute of Professional Psychology was also honored with the Trophy for Best Participation (Girls).

Heartiest congratulations to all our students for representing IPP with confidence, commitment, and excellence. Their achievements truly make the institute proud. 🏅✨

On 17 December 2025, BS 8th Semester students of the Psychology of Leadership course at IPP-BU organized a Leadership Assessment & Counseling Camp at Indus University for students and faculty.

The camp included interactive activities on Emotional Intelligence, MBTI, Personality, Leadership Styles, and Emotional Decoding. Students from psychology and other departments participated actively and shared very positive feedback on the practical and counseling-based approach.

The camp was conducted under the supervision of Ms. Shabnam Arshi, Assistant Professor at IPP-BU, providing students with hands-on learning experiences that go beyond traditional classroom teaching.

An insightful and interactive seminar conducted for BS Psychology Semester VII students as part of the course “Counselling for HIV/AIDS and STIs,” held at IPP-BU on 15 December 2025.

Prof. Dr. Zainab Hussain Bhutto, Senior Professor at the Institute of Professional Psychology (IPP), Bahria University, served as an External Thesis Examiner on an international examination panel at Effat University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on 9th December 2025.
During this academic engagement, she reviewed and provided expert feedback on a research thesis titled:
“Neurocognitive Impairments in First-Episode Schizophrenia: A Systematic Review of Functional Brain Imaging Findings.”
This international academic involvement reflects IPP’s continued engagement in research dialogue, knowledge sharing, and global academic collaboration in the field of psychology.
