Rotaract
Originally began as a Rotary International youth program in 1968. It is a service, leadership and community service organization for young men and women between the ages 18–30.Rotaract focuses on the development of young adults as leaders in their communities and workplaces. Clubs around the world also take part in international service projects, in a global effort to bring peace and int
ernational understanding to the world. Most Rotaract activities take place at the club level. Rotaract clubs hold formal meetings, usually every two weeks, which feature speakers, special outings, social activities, discussions or visits to other clubs. Club members get together on designated days for service project work, social events, or professional/leadership development workshops. The purpose of Rotaract is to provide an opportunity for young men and women to enhance the knowledge and skills that will assist them in personal development, to address the physical and social needs of their communities, and to promote better relations between all people worldwide through a framework of friendship and service. It is with great excitement and anticipation that we start the Rotaract Calendar year on July 1, 2014. This truly is an honor to be Chartered President, but with this honor comes responsibility as a change maker need to building communities with great service & fellowships. Planning is taking place for new activities this year including Polio Eradication and Community/Service projects that will exemplify this year’s Rotary theme of “Peace through Service”. I want you each to know how honored that I am to serve as your Club President and now as a Zonal Rotaract Representative of Karachi. This is a huge responsibility and I do not take it lightly. I hope to lead us through a year of “Peace through Service” and looking for more ideas that represent that theme. I would like say thanks to all my club members and appreciates there effort toward the community, Rotary Literacy Mission in Pakistan and to Eradicate Polio from Pakistan. And on international level
