ACNE VULGARIS – Don’t Ignore It!

Acne is not just a teenage phase—and it’s definitely not something to treat at a beauty parlor or with home remedies. It’s a real skin condition that needs proper medical care.

Where can it appear?

Face

Chest

Back

Shoulders

Common Myths (Don’t believe them!):
✘ Acne is caused by dirt
✘ Toothpaste or lemon juice can cure it
✘ Only teens get acne
✘ Parlors can treat it safely

Treatment Matters:
For mild to moderate acne

Adapalene + Benzoyl Peroxide

Clindamycin + Benzoyl Peroxide

These reduce oil, bacteria, and inflammation. Severe acne may need oral medications.

Remember:

Don’t pop pimples

Avoid harsh scrubs

Always consult a doctor

Let’s treat acne the right way—early treatment prevents scarring and boosts confidence!

TINEA CORPORIS (Ringworm of the Body)

Tinea corporis is a common fungal skin infection, also known as ringworm, despite being caused by a fungus—not a worm!

How Does It Spread?

Skin-to-skin contact with an infected person or animal

Contact with contaminated items (towels, clothing, gym mats)

Warm, humid environments increase the risk

Signs and Symptoms:

Round, red, scaly patches with clear centers (ring-like appearance)

Itchy skin

The rash may grow slowly outward

Can appear on arms, legs, torso, or face

Treatment:

Topical antifungal creams like clotrimazole, miconazole, or terbinafine

Oral antifungal tablets for more widespread or stubborn infections

Keep the affected area clean and dry

Avoid sharing towels, clothes, or personal items

Prevention Tips:

Shower after sweating or gym sessions

Wear loose, breathable clothing

Treat pets if they show signs of ringworm

Don’t walk barefoot in public showers or locker rooms

Important:
Tinea corporis is treatable and preventable. If you notice circular, itchy rashes on your body, seek medical advice early to prevent spreading and complications.
