The National Chemistry Talent Contest (NCTC) is one of the contests of National Science Talent Contest (NSTC) in Pakistan, which are functioning under the umbrella of Science, Engineering, Technology and Mathematics (STEM) Careers Project, Higher Education Commission. Research Institute of Chemistry, International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences, University of Karachi, is the Home Institution (HI) for Training/Selection Camps for National Chemistry Talent Contest. Camps
1st Camp: Most bright and talented students in the field of chemistgry selected from all over the Pakistan and train them for 1 week than after final exam 15 of them select for next camp.
2nd Camp: 15 Selected students than further taught about chemistry and than only 4 of them select for the next and final camp
3rd Camp: These 4 student than extensively trained in all fields of chemistry theory and practical and than sent to the International Chemistry Olympiad to represent Pakistan. Sc./A-level students, of age not more than 20 years. Please note that those who are students currently studying in F.Sc. Part II or equivalent are not eligible to apply. Are not enrolled in any university or an institute of higher learning. Have an aggregate of 75% or more in Metric/O-level. Have 90% or more marks in relevant subject i.e. Colleges can nominate as many students as they can. If a college does not have sufficient number of students who meet the above stated criterion they still can nominate them for participation in NCTC. For such students a college may use any criterion such as performance of students in the class or their score in the last S.S.C. /O-level examination. explicitly mentioning the selection criterion for in the nomination form.[5]
Fee
