On Wednesday, 11 March 2026, a session was held at the Karachi Institute of Neurological Diseases & Rehabilitation (KIND-R), delivered by M***i Hafiz Saad Saeed on the topic “زکوٰۃ کی فرضیت، صاحبِ نصاب اور ادائیگی کا طریقہ کار.”

The speaker explained that Zakat is one of the fundamental pillars of Islam and is obligatory for Muslims whose wealth reaches the Nisab threshold and remains in their possession for one lunar year. He discussed the concept of Sahib-e-Nisab and guided participants on calculating Zakat, stating that 2.5% of eligible wealth should generally be given. He also emphasized that Zakat should be distributed among deserving individuals such as the poor and needy in accordance with Islamic teachings.

The session concluded with a brief discussion, helping participants gain a clearer understanding of the importance, calculation, and proper distribution of Zakat.
