Following the Jinnah Road blast incident, 32 injured were shifted to SMBB Institute of Trauma Karachi, out of which 6 remain in critical condition.

Secretary Health Sindh, Mr. Rehan Baloch, visited the SMBB Institute of Trauma Karachi along with MS Civil Hospital Karachi - Dr. Khalid Bukhari and Executive Director - Dr. Sabir Memon to inquire about the patients’ well-being.

Our esteemed faculty — Dr. Azer Sheikh - Head of Emergency Medicine, Dr. Beenish Hameed - Consultant Emergency Medicine, and Dr. Anaam Bhugti - Clinical Psychiatrist — were part of a powerful panel discussion on "Emergency Medicine & Trauma Care – We Need Effective Systems," where they shared expert insights and real-world experiences on building responsive and sustainable trauma care systems.

SMBBIT also set up an engaging exhibition stall to showcase its round-the-clock emergency services and ongoing efforts to provide free and quality trauma care to all, regardless of background. The event served as a great opportunity to connect with the healthcare community and encourage public support for its life-saving mission.

Fire and Safety Training Session Held at SMBB Institute of Trauma, Karachi

A comprehensive Fire and Safety Training Session was conducted at the SMBB Institute of Trauma, Karachi, aimed at enhancing staff preparedness in emergency situations. The session focused on essential fire prevention techniques, the proper use of fire extinguishers, evacuation procedures, and first response protocols.

The training emphasized the importance of situational awareness and teamwork in crisis management, equipping hospital personnel with the knowledge and confidence needed to respond effectively during fire-related incidents. Practical demonstrations and hands-on activities enabled participants to gain valuable experience in handling emergency equipment and understanding safety protocols.

This initiative reflects the institute’s ongoing commitment to workplace safety, ensuring a secure environment for both staff and patients.

شہید بے نظیر بھٹو انسٹیٹیوٹ آف ٹراما (SMBBIT) سے منسوب وہ خبر، جس میں دعویٰ کیا گیا ہے کہ اسپتال کی لفٹس بند ہونے کے باعث مریضوں اور تیمارداروں کو مشکلات کا سامنا کرنا پڑا، بے بنیاد، گمراہ کن اور حقائق کے منافی ہے۔

اسپتال کی تمام لفٹس روزانہ بنیاد پر معائنے اور دیکھ بھال کے بعد شیڈول کے مطابق مکمل طور پر فعال ہیں۔ لفٹ نمبر 2 مکمل بحال ہے اور تیمارداروں کے لیے مختص ہے، جبکہ مریضوں کے لیے علیحدہ لفٹس 24/7 دستیاب ہیں۔

اسپتال میں روزانہ 500 سے زائد مریض آتے ہیں، جن کے ہمراہ سینکڑوں تیماردار ہوتے ہیں۔ اسپتال پالیسی کے مطابق ہر مریض کے ساتھ صرف ایک تیماردار کو رکنے کی اجازت ہے، اور لفٹس کا استعمال اسی نظام کے تحت منظم انداز میں جاری رہتا ہے۔

ایسی غیر مصدقہ خبریں نہ صرف عوام کو گمراہ کرتی ہیں بلکہ ادارے اور سندھ حکومت کی کارکردگی کو بھی متاثر کرتی ہیں۔
