A 5-year-old child presented with Black Dot Tinea Capitis causing patchy hair loss and scalp infection.
The childβs mother had already visited different quacks, and one even advised applying garlic-heated oil on the scalp for hair regrowth and treatment. Unfortunately, such remedies only delay proper treatment and may worsen the condition.
Tinea capitis is a fungal infection that needs proper antifungal treatment by a qualified dermatologist. Early diagnosis can prevent permanent hair damage.
