It marks a significant milestone in the history of Maqbool Memorial Hospital, Palhalan. A highly complex and challenging gynecological surgery was successfully performed involving the removal of a massively enlarged uterus with fibroid (benign tumor of the uterus) measuring approximately 20 cm × 20 cm and weighing 3.75 kg.
Considering the extraordinary size and complexity of the condition, the surgery required exceptional expertise, precision, and teamwork. Such procedures are rarely performed in private healthcare setups in North Kashmir, making this achievement particularly noteworthy.
The surgery was expertly conducted by our Senior Gynecologist, Dr. Asif Mustafa, along with his dedicated surgical team. We extend our special thanks to Dr. Reyaz (Anesthesiologist) for his critical role, and to Mr. Afzal and Mr. Shakir for their invaluable support.

We are proud to announce a Historic Milestone at Imam Hussain (A.S.) Hospital. Today Total Laparascopic hysterectomy(TLH) was done at Imam Hussain ( A.S.) hospital .
TLH is a complicated and technically demanding procedure involving removal of uterus along with ovaries through the use of laparascope which was done by Senior Gynecologist Dr Asif Mustafa.
There are only 2 to 3 -- 1 inch button holes through which whole of surgery is done. There is no big cut so the recovery is immediate and the patient can do her day to day work very early. In post operative period the pain associated is also much less, so making the surgery experience much better than open surgery.

Sharing one more video of TOTAL LAPARASCOPIC HYSTRECTOMY (TLH) with Endosuturing done using harmonic and bipolar devices. TLH is removal of uterus with ovaries with minimal scars, less pain and quick recovery. Removal of ovaries is dependent on patient clinical profile. TLH is performed from 3 to 4 small key-hole incisions and is technically demanding procedure. TLH with Endosuturing was done by Dr Asif Mustafa ( Senior Gynae & Obs Consultant ).
