Workshop on Veneers: A Step-by-Step Guide to Aesthetic Dentistry Excellence

A highly successful and academically enriching workshop on veneers was conducted by Department of Prosthodontics by Assist. Prof. Dr Afnan Rahman on 26th July 2025, organized under the auspices of the Continuing Medical Education program of Women Dental College.

The session provided in-depth knowledge and practical insights into advanced veneer techniques, contributing significantly to professional development in aesthetic dentistry.

Participants included dental professionals and postgraduate trainees who actively engaged in clinical demonstrations and discussions, making the event a great success.

KMU Vice Chancellor Inaugurates Exam Lab at Women Dental College

On 19 July 2025, Honorable Vice Chancellor KMU inaugurated the newly established Exam Lab at Women Dental College Abbottabad, followed by a comprehensive inspection of the dedicated Exam Lab.

He commended WDC’s efforts in strengthening examination infrastructure, noting the initiative demonstrates institutional commitment to academic integrity and progress.

The Vice Chancellor encouraged continuous elevation of the lab’s infrastructure and processes to ensure highest standards of assessment.

1. Review the Craniofacial Module’s ex*****on (student feedback, faculty insights, assessment outcomes)
2. Initiate planning for the Cervicofacial Module (timetable construction, teaching methodologies, resource alignment)

The session ensured curriculum coherence and pedagogical enhancements for dental education.

Communication Skills Seminar was Conducted at RMPGDH - 9th July 2025

A successful Seminar on Communication Skills was conducted at Rehmat Memorial Postgraduate Dental Hospital (RMPGDH), as part of the CME in Dentistry 2025 initiative.

Facilitated by Dr. Abbas for House Officers and TMOs, this interactive session focused on enhancing clinical communication, fostering empathy, and building strong doctor-patient relationships.

This was the first session in a series of upcoming seminars on Communication Skills, which will continue in the coming months.

Organized by the Department of Dental Education & Research in collaboration with the Department of Operative Dentistry, Women Dental College, this initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to clinical excellence and continuous professional development.
