Successful ERCP Case by Dr. Mujahid Israr

A 45-year-old male presented with:

Biliary pancreatitis

Distal CBD obstruction

Small filling defect seen on ultrasound

Procedure Highlights:

ERCP cholangiogram revealed distal CBD tapering (inflammatory stricture).

Stricture dilated using a sphincterotome sphincterotomy.

Balloon sweep successfully retrieved small sludge.

A double pigtail plastic stent was placed to keep the CBD open, with plans to remove it in 2 months.

The patient remained hemodynamically stable and was discharged after 3 hours.

I want to share an inspiring story of hope and healing.
A 65-year-old female, diagnosed with advanced CA Esophagus (Esophageal Cancer), came to me after two failed attempts to pass through the blocked esophagus due to the tumor. The opening was nearly closed off.
I took on this challenge, and Alhamdulillah, I successfully placed a metallic stent across the obstructed esophagus.
The patient returned after just one week with a 2 kg weight gain, feeling much better!

ERCP case 43: This difficult case was referred from known Consultant of Gujrat . 2 Large sized stones removed from CBD within 20 minutes of procedures . Radiation time was 15 seconds. Selective CBD cannulation was done.
Patient remained hemodynamically stable and discharged after 2 hours of procedures

Today I passed esophageal stent in 50years old lady with dysphagia to both solid and liquid. Biopsy diagnosed esophageal squamous cell carcinoma . 25 kg weight loss . After stenting patient was stable and start taking oral liquids after 4 hours of procedure.
