🌙 Tonight is the 29th night… the last Odd night of Ramadan 2026.

A strange silence fills the heart.
It feels like we just began… and now Ramadan is slipping away

Ya Allah… if we fell short, forgive us.
If we were lazy, forgive us.
If our hearts were distracted, forgive us.

We wish we had prayed more.
We wish we had cried more.
We wish we had done better…

اللهم إنك عفو تحب العفو فاعفُ عنا
Ya Rabb, accept our fasting, our salah, our duas, our charity, our hidden efforts and our visible struggles.

Forgive every sin we committed knowingly and unknowingly even those we repeated in this blessed month.

Forgive our weakness towards Deen.
Make our salah more beautiful and more consistent.

Accept every small good deed and erase every bad one.
Allow us to live a life that is truly in Your obedience.

Do not let this Ramadan be our last…

Busy homes.
Loud gatherings.
New clothes.
Too many people.
Too many expectations.

Your child becomes restless.
Irritated.

But sometimes excitement and overwhelm exist together.

For children with sensitive or neurodivergent nervous systems,
celebrations can feel too much to process.

Not because they are being difficult.

Human emotions are rarely simple.
What we show on the surface is often just one layer of what we truly feel inside.

A person who appears calm may actually be lonely.

Someone who looks strong may be overwhelmed.
A smiling face can still carry longing, rejection, or quiet exhaustion.
Feelings are not always opposites many times they exist together.

Hope can live with fear.
Faith can live with impatience.
Contentment can live with yearning.
Understanding layered emotions helps us become more compassionate
with ourselves and with others.

Instead of judging reactions, we can learn to ask:
“What might this person really be feeling beneath the surface?”

Emotional awareness is not weakness.
It is a form of wisdom.

It allows better communication, healthier relationships, and deeper self-understanding.
When we recognise our emotions, we can respond not just react.

Reflection
Our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ acknowledged human emotions and taught us to regulate them with sabr (patience), hikmah (wisdom), and tawakkul (trust in Allah).
Allah says:

“Indeed, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest.”
(Surah Ar-Ra’d 13:28)

True emotional strength is not the absence of feelings

They can’t sit still.

What many parents label as “difficult behavior” can actually be signs of strong cognitive development.
Here are 4 possible signs you may be raising a highly intelligent child:

1️⃣ Endless questions
Highly curious children constantly ask why, how, and what if.
This is not misbehavior it is the brain trying to understand how the world works.
Curiosity is the foundation of critical thinking, creativity, and innovation.

2️⃣ They can’t sit still because they are curious
Some children learn best through movement, exploration, and experimentation.
They touch things.
They investigate.
They explore their surroundings.
What sometimes looks like hyperactivity may actually be a highly stimulated learning brain.

3️⃣ They prefer deeper conversations

اکثر لوگ سمجھتے ہیں کہ اگر ہم کسی تکلیف دہ احساس کو دبا دیں تو وہ ختم ہو جائے گا۔

لیکن انسانی ذہن عام طور پر اس طرح کام نہیں کرتا۔
کوچنگ اور تھراپی میں ہم بارہا دیکھتے ہیں کہ جتنا زیادہ انسان کسی احساس کو نہ محسوس کرنے کی کوشش کرتا ہے، اتنا ہی وہ احساس اندر فعال رہتا ہے۔

اسی وجہ سے بہت سے لوگ کہتے ہیں:
“میں نے اس بات کو بھلا دیا تھا… مگر یہ بار بار واپس آ جاتی ہے۔”

اس کی ایک سادہ سی وجہ ہے۔
جب ہم اپنے ذہن کو کہتے ہیں:
“مجھے anxious نہیں ہونا چاہیے”
یا

“مجھے اس بارے میں نہیں سوچنا”
تو دماغ دراصل اس بات کو چیک کرنے لگتا ہے کہ کہیں وہ احساس یا خیال واپس تو نہیں آ رہا۔
یہی مسلسل checking اس احساس کو ذہن میں active رکھتی ہے۔

اسی phenomenon کو psychology میں اکثر emotional suppression یا experiential avoidance کہا جاتا ہے۔
ایک مشہور مثال اس کو سمجھنے میں مدد دیتی ہے۔
اگر میں آپ سے کہوں:

“سفید ریچھ کے بارے میں مت سوچیں”
تو زیادہ تر لوگوں کے ذہن میں فوراً وہی تصویر آتی ہے۔
کیونکہ دماغ کو یہ جانچنے کے لیے کہ آپ نہیں سوچ رہے پہلے اُس خیال کو ذہن میں لانا پڑتا ہے۔

جذبات کے ساتھ بھی کچھ ایسا ہی ہوتا ہے۔
جب احساس کو دبایا جاتا ہے تو وہ مکمل طور پر ختم نہیں ہوتا، بلکہ اکثر پس منظر میں موجود رہتا ہے اور مختلف شکلوں میں ظاہر ہو سکتا ہے۔

روزمرہ زندگی میں اس کے اثرات اس طرح سامنے آ سکتے ہیں:
ذہن میں مسلسل mental noise
overthinking
چھوٹی بات پر زیادہ anxiety
جسم میں tension
focus میں کمی
اچانک emotional outbursts
یا کبھی کبھی emotional numbness

اکثر لوگ کہتے ہیں:
“کوئی خاص وجہ نہیں… مگر اندر بے چینی رہتی ہے۔”
بعض اوقات اس کے پیچھے unresolved emotional patterns موجود ہوتے ہیں۔

Different situations…
Different people…
Different environments…

Yet somehow the pattern feels exactly the same.
The same type of conflict shows up again.
The same relationship struggles repeat.
The same emotional reactions appear.

You promise yourself, “This time I’ll respond differently.”
But somehow the reaction still comes out the same.

Later you sit and wonder:
Why does this keep happening to me?
Why do I keep ending up in the same situations?

Many people start blaming circumstances, luck, or the people around them.
But often the real answer lies much deeper.

From a neuroscience and NLP perspective, the brain prefers what is familiar, even if it is not healthy or helpful.
The subconscious mind is designed to repeat patterns it already knows.

Because to the brain, familiar feels safe.

It's a time to sleep. The world is quiet. But inside your head? It's a full-blown conference.

Replaying that conversation from five years ago.

دماغ میں تبدیلی ایک تدریجی عمل ہے۔ نیوروپلاسٹیسٹی (Neuroplasticity) یعنی دماغ کی یہ صلاحیت کہ وہ تجربات، سیکھنے اور مسلسل مشق کے ذریعے اپنے نیورل راستوں (Neural Pathways) کو تبدیل اور مضبوط کر سکے۔ یہی وجہ ہے کہ رویوں، عادات اور سوچ کے انداز میں حقیقی تبدیلی وقت، تکرار اور درست رہنمائی سے آتی ہے۔

پہلا مرحلہ: آگاہی اور شعوری مشق
