National Hospital Celebrates 1,000 Renal Transplants
National Hospital proudly celebrated a major milestone with the successful completion of 1,000 renal transplants — a testament to the institution’s commitment to advanced medical care and clinical excellence.
To mark this remarkable achievement, a cake-cutting ceremony was held. The event was attended by key members of the hospital’s leadership and transplant team, including Chief Executive Prof Dr Shahida Khawaja, Chief Operating Officer Dr Jehanzeb Khan Aurakzai, distinguished kidney transplant surgeon Prof Dr Muhammad Rafique Zaki, and members of the Kidney Transplant Team.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Dr Shahida Khawaja expressed her appreciation for the dedication and teamwork that made this achievement possible.
“Crossing the 1,000 transplant mark is not just a number — it represents hope restored, lives saved, and the relentless commitment of our surgeons, physicians, nurses, and staff. We remain dedicated to providing world-class transplant services with compassion and integrity,” Dr Shahida said.
