We are thrilled to share that our collaborative work, “Is Surgical Cardiac Denervation Effective Against Postoperative Atrial Fibrillation? A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis” has been accepted for presentation at the American Heart Association (AHA) Scientific Sessions 2025 — the world’s leading cardiovascular science meeting, to be held in New Orleans, USA (November 7–10, 2025).

Our abstract will be showcased in the Auxiliary Techniques in AF Ablation poster session, highlighting innovative insights into autonomic modulation and its potential role in reducing persistent atrial fibrillation after cardiac surgery.

This achievement marks another milestone for IMRC’s mission of advancing impactful global cardiovascular research.

📢 IMRC Publication Announcement

We are proud to share that our members have contributed to a new publication in the World Journal of Cardiology:

"Systematic review and meta-analysis: Is surgical cardiac denervation effective against postoperative atrial fibrillation?"
World J Cardiol. 2025; 17(9): 110756
DOI: 10.4330/wjc.v17.i9.110756

This systematic review and meta-analysis evaluated the role of surgical cardiac denervation in preventing postoperative atrial fibrillation (POAF) after cardiac surgery. The findings show that while overall POAF rates were not significantly reduced, there was a marked decrease in persistent atrial fibrillation and postoperative serum magnesium levels, highlighting the potential of autonomic modulation in targeted arrhythmia prevention.

Congratulations to all authors on this impactful contribution to cardiovascular research! 🫀📄
