Webinar on Alveolar Cleft Repair,
Cleft & CranioFacial Chapter of Education sector of IcoPlast, arranged a webinar on Alveolar Cleft Repair on Sunday March 24, 2024. Prof. Phoung from Colorado University, Aurora, Colorado, Prof. Philip KT Chen from Taipei MEdical University Hospital, Taipei, and Prof. Eric Liou from Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Taoyuan, Taiwan were the main Speakers while Prof. Robert Mann from Michigan University USA and Prof. Maria Costanza Meazinni Italy were the Panelist. There are 773 registrations for this webinar while 438 persons joined online from all around the Globe.

Prof. Phoung highlighted the use of Synthetic material instead of traditional Ilac Bone graft for Alveolar Bone Grafting. Prof. Philip KT Chen told that he does not do ABG anymore for many years. He does Extensive Gingivo-Periosteoplasty(GPP) with very good results. Prof. Eric Liou described that GPP is quite effective method for new bone formation in the alveolar cleft area. Prof. Robert Mann and Maria Costanza shared their views about the talks by the three speakers.
