South surgical ward under Prof Abrar Ashraf Ali is leading in teaching and training of our surgical residents. Recently developed laproscopic simulation lab is serving its purpose by providing an opportunity to our residents to learn basic of minimal invasive surgery. Its just a 1st step of long journey to equip our department with all innovations to have international standard surgical training..

ALHAMDULILLAH SOUTH SURGICAL WARD MHL is leading in advanced surgical training. Use of laparoscopic simulation will increase the acquisition of cognitive knowledge, surgical skills and will shorten the learning curve of residents. We are very thankful to our mentor Prof. Abrar Ashraf Ali for providing us this risk free environment to learn advanced and basic laparoscopic surgical skills. We are very grateful to VICE CHANCELLOR KEMU Prof. Khalid M Gondal for supporting this initiative and promoting simulation based medical education in King Edward Medical University/Mayo Hospital Lahore.

SOUTH SURGICAL WARD MAYO HOSPITAL under the mentorship of Prof. Dr. ABRAR ASHRAF Ali is keeping its tradition alive and leading in teaching and training of post Graduate residents. SOUTH SURGICAL WARD has history of producing great clinicians and surgeons. Prof Abrar Ashraf Ali always takes keen interest in training and improving the core Competencies of residents in minimal invasive surgery. SSW has developed a state of the art laparoscopic simulation lab and class room under the guidance of our worthy prof. Better teaching and training of young surgeons will ultimately improve patient care that is our primary goal.
We were lucky to have Prof Khalid M Gondal Sb VICE CHANCELLOR KEMU as cheif guest on the inauguration ceremony of laparoscopic simulation lab. Prof khalid masood gondal is always there to support such initiatives. KEMU and mayo hospital lahore is achieving new hights under his leadership.
We are very grateful to Prof. Mehmood ayyaz (Ex. Principal Sims) who graced us with his presence as guest of honor. Prof Mehmood Ayyaz is amongst the pioneers of laparoscopic surgery in Pakistan. Thank you sir for your valuable words regarding importance of simulation lab in advanced surgical training.
Thanks to Prof Asghar Naqi Dean of Surgery MHL for his appreciation and encouragement. We are thankful to professors Prof. Ayesha shoukat, Prof. Ameer afzal, Prof Bilqees and prof Yar Muhammad for their valuable time and appreciation.
