🌿 Mental Health is Physical Health Too 🌿

When your mind suffers, your body speaks.
Headaches, jaw pain, heart palpitations, tense shoulders, restless legs — these are not “just in your head.” They are your body’s way of saying: please slow down, please take care of me.

💡 Stress and emotional struggles don’t stay in the mind — they affect every part of who we are.

✨ Please don’t compromise your mental peace.
Prioritizing your mental health is not selfish — it’s essential. A calm mind means a healthier body, and a healthier you.

As an Occupational Therapist, I believe in healing the whole person — body, mind, and soul. Because every individual deserves to live with balance, dignity, and peace.

💙 Take a pause today. Protect your mental health. Your body will thank you.

Let's have an insight of "Human Senses"

First of all What does we mean by "Sense"?
It's a faculty by which the body perceives an external stimulus

As we all know about our basic five senses, but here we'll discuss three additional senses which are also essential for proper functioning in daily living:

1.Smell
Also known as the olfactory system, this is the oldest sense in the brain and is connected to emotions and memories.

2.Vestibular
This sense helps with balance and spatial orientation. It helps us move and balance at the same time, like when we walk, spin, or summersault.

3.Touch
Also known as the tactile system, this sense allows us to feel physical sensations through our skin. We have more tactile sensors in our hands, feet, and mouth.

4.Auditory
This sense is responsible for hearing and plays a vital role in communication and connection with the world.

5.Proprioception
This sense provides information from muscles and joints about body position. It helps us know where our limbs are without looking.

6.Gustatory
Also known as the gustatory system, this sense allows us to know the taste of different foods through taste receptors on the tongue.

7.Interoception
This sense provides information from internal organs, like hunger, fullness, itches, the need to urinate, and feelings of nervousness.

8.Sight
Also known as the visual system, this sense plays a pivotal role in how we perceive the world.

Here are some most common indications by which we can easily figure out either a person is responding properly to sensory stimulations or there's any processing disorder.

Being an occupational therapist, we address these issues with the help of sensory integration therapy
