▫️Sciatica refers to pain that radiates along the path of the sciatic nerve, which branches from your lower back through your hips and buttocks and down each leg. It usually affects only one side of the body.
▫️The most common cause of sciatica is a herniated or slipped disk that puts pressure on the nerve. Other causes can include spinal stenosis (narrowing of the spinal canal), degenerative disk disease, or injury.
◽Symptoms of sciatica can include:
1. Pain: This can range from a mild ache to a sharp, burning sensation. It often worsens with sitting.
2. Numbness or tingling: You may feel these sensations in the leg or foot.
3. Weakness: In some cases, the affected leg may feel weak.
