🌸 Weekly Highlights | Dedication, Learning & Women’s Health 🌸

This past week was truly enriching and full of learning opportunities.
I had the privilege to have a chance of learning Laparoscopic Total Hysterectomy by expert Professor Samina Salim — thanks to Prof Shabnum ,Prof Shaista Hifaz and Dr Tanveer Fatima ,a renowned laproscopic surgeon of Larkana. an experience that strengthened my skills and deepened my commitment to providing safe, evidence-based surgical care for women.

Every procedure is a reminder of how teamwork, mentorship, and precision shape better outcomes for our patients. Alhamdulillah for continuous learning and for mentors who guide with excellence and grace.

Think Pink and Save Lives
pink ribbonOctober is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an annual campaign to increase awareness surrounding the disease. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), about 1 in 8 U.S. women will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of their lives. As of 2020, there were 2.26 million global cases of breast cancer, making it the most diagnosed cancer in the world.
Pakistan has the highest incidence of breast cancer among Asian countries: one in nine women is at risk of being diagnosed with breast cancer during their lifetime. According to the International Agency of Research on Cancer 2018 report, 34,066 new cases of breast cancer had been reported in Pakistani women.
