Life is a river, wild and untamed,
Its waters unyielding, never the same.
It twists and it turns, it breaks and it mends,
A journey unmarked by predictable ends.

The sunshine will dance, but so will the rain,
You’ll cradle deep joy, then stumble through pain.
Dreams might shatter, hopes may fall,
Yet in each collapse, there's beauty in all.

Acceptance is not surrender or defeat,
It’s finding the strength to stand on your feet.
It’s holding the pieces with trembling hands,
And trusting that time will weave its strands.

The heartbreaks you’ve carried, the scars you now wear,

🚨𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗬 𝗣𝗦𝗬𝗖𝗛𝗢𝗟𝗢𝗚𝗜𝗦𝗧 𝗖𝗔𝗡 𝗕𝗘 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗣𝗜𝗦𝗧!🛑

Let’s burst a common myth: Not everyone who calls themselves a psychologist is qualified to provide therapy. This misunderstanding is alarmingly common in Pakistan, and sadly, it opens the door to unqualified individuals who could do more harm than good. Therapy is not just “𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗲.” 𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗮 𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲. It’s a skill.

If you’re handing over your mental health to someone with just a BS in Psychology or an MSc in Psychology, you’re trusting someone with just theoretical knowledge but ZERO clinical expertise. That’s like hiring a general MBBS doctor to perform heart surgery because, “Doston ne kaha hai, wo bhi doctor hai.” 🙄

🌟 🌟 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝘀𝘆𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿

Just like in medicine, psychology is a specialized field. Let me break it down:

𝟭. 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝘀𝘆𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁

Qualifications: MPhil/MS/PhD in Clinical Psychology + supervised training.

What they do: Diagnose and treat mental health disorders like depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, or schizophrenia and many such psychological disorders using evidence-based therapies like, ACT, CBT or DBT.

When to see them: If you’re facing a mental illness or long-standing psychological issues.

𝟮. 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝘀𝘆𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁

Qualifications: MS in Counseling Psychology + supervised training.

What they do: Help with personal growth, stress, relationships, and grief.

When to see them: If you need emotional guidance or strategies to handle life’s challenges.

𝟯. 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹/𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝘀𝘆𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁

Qualifications: MS in Industrial/Organizational Psychology.

What they do: Enhance workplace productivity, culture, and team dynamics—not therapy.

and many more i.e forensic psychologist, criminal psychologist, educational psychologist or sport psychologist and so on with huge differences in their expertise

🛑𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗔𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗱 𝗕𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗱

1. Ask for credentials: Ensure they hold an MPhil/MS/PhD in Clinical or Counseling Psychology.

2. Check their training: They should have supervised practical training in therapy.

3. Avoid the generic “psychologist” title: If their specialization isn’t clear, don’t proceed.

💡 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆: 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵

PSYCHOTHERAPY isn’t casual advice or “venting sessions.” It’s a blend of science, therapy, and expertise. Malpractice is rising, but awareness can prevent you and others from falling victim to unqualified practitioners.

Coined by Lawrence Katz and Manning Rubin, neurobic exercises focus on creating new neural pathways through activities that involve novelty, variety, and challenge. Examples include using your non-dominant hand for routine tasks, taking different routes, engaging all senses, learning new skills, and solving puzzles. These exercises aim to improve memory, focus, and overall mental agility, promoting brain health and potentially reducing cognitive decline associated with aging.

*ANYTHING THAT YOU FEAR* --is teaching you the courage to overcome your fears.
*ANYTHING YOU CAN'T CONTROL* --is teaching you to let go.
*ANY "NO" YOU GET FROM HUMAN* --is teaching you to be independent.
*ANY PROBLEM YOU'RE FACING* --is teaching you how to get a solution to problems.

*ANYONE WHO LOOKS DOWN ON YOU* --is teaching you to look up to CREATOR ( ALLAH ).
Always look out for the lesson in every situation you face in every phase of life.
Be polite, calm, gentle and thankful to God because He will be with you to the end.
Life had taught me lessons. I do not see people at my cross road, because humans are not reliable. I only see God as the author and finisher of my faith.
