Hollywood lied to you about who the real terrorists are.
The real terrorist isn't the freedom fighter standing up against tyranny, defending their own sovereignty. The real terrorist is the strongman who dehumanizes entire nations, calling their people "animals." It's the leader who threatens to blow up desalination plants that millions rely on for drinking water, who threatens to "decimate every bridge and power plant" in a country, who scrapped the civilian harm mitigation program so that missile strikes could kill schoolchildren without accountability, and who openly brags he's "not at all" concerned about committing war crimes.
But don't think for a second this terrorism is only happening in far-away lands.
It's happening right here at home. It's a president who vowed "retribution" as a campaign platform and has spent over a year making good on that promise — weaponizing the DOJ against political opponents, threatening to jail journalists, suing federal judges, and directing investigations into nonprofits and advocacy groups that fight for the most vulnerable among us. It's an administration that fired the Attorney General for not being aggressive enough in going after its enemies.
The definition of terrorism is the use of violence and intimidation in pursuit of political aims. By that definition — ask yourself: who are the real terrorists?
