The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), in collaboration with Pakistan Red Crescent AJK and Health Department AJK successfully conducted a Mass Casualty Incident (MCI) Workshop at District Mirpur.
The workshop aimed to enhance preparedness, Response and coordination among stakeholders.
The workshop brought together participants from District Health Office Mirpur, Rescue 1122, Civil defence and the Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS).
The Chairman Pakistan Red Crescent Society AJK Sardar Shafique Ahmed Khan honoured the Mass Casualty Incident (MCI) workshop and lauded the humanitarian efforts of and reiterated to support these efforts in AJK through collaboration.
Sessions covered key topics such as triage systems, emergency response coordination, pre-hospital care, hospital surge capacity, communication protocols, and simulation-based exercises to strengthen inter-agency collaboration and role clarity during emergencies.
