A hands-on Basic Life Support (BLS) Workshop was successfully conducted at Nishtar Institute of Dentistry, Multan, under the platform of the Department of Medical Education (DME) on 15th January 2026, for Round 2 of the new batch of House Officers. The session focused on essential life-saving skills and emergency response techniques.

The event was organized by the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, under the supervision of Professor Dr. Waheed Tahir and senior faculty members including Associate Professor Dr. Asif Nazir,Assoc. Professor Dr. Saima Munir, Consultants :Dr. Shaheen Anjum, Dr. Sohail Fareed ,Dr. Fahad Khaliq, Dr. Nouman Mustafa, Dr Raza zahid, Dr Fishan Ali with the valuable guidance and support of Principal Nishtar Institute of Dentistry, Dr. Zubair Hassan Awaisi and MS Nishtar Institute of Dentistry Dr. Tariq Hameed and Director DME Dr. Mubammad Imran Bucha.

Participants received practical training in CPR, airway management, and emergency scenarios, enhancing their competence, confidence, and ability to respond effectively in critical situations. New graduates were also introduced to unexpected life-saving skills within their clinical environment, broadening their awareness and preparedness.

Such initiatives play a pivotal role in strengthening the professional readiness of young healthcare providers to act decisively when every second counts. ⏱️💙
