The Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery department which operates under the supervision of Dr Muhammad Ishfaq (FCPS) is one of the best Maxillofacial surgical centres of the country. The poineer of this dept was Prof. Dr. Muhammad Saeed (FDSRCPS). The department has currently 20 pgr trainees and operates as 4 teams in the operation theatres of Nishtar Hospital and Nishtar Institute of Dentistry, Multan. Currently ,two major postgraduate programs are being run, MDS, MCPS and FCPS.

A hands-on Basic Life Support (BLS) Workshop was successfully conducted at Nishtar Institute of Dentistry, Multan, under the platform of the Department of Medical Education (DME) on 24th October 2025, for Stage I of the new batch of House Officers. The session focused on essential life-saving skills and emergency response techniques.
The event was organized by the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, under the supervision of Professor Dr. Waheed Tahir and senior faculty members including Associate Professor Dr. Asif Nazir, Assoc Professor Dr. Saima Munir, Principal Dental Surgeon Dr. Qamar Zaman, Admin Registrar Dr. Mazhar Rasool, Consultants Dr. Sohail Fareed, Dr. Fahad Khaliq, Dr. Khalil khan, Dr. Nouman Mustafa ,Dr. Raza Zahid and Dr. Fishan Ali with the valuable guidance and support of Principal Nishtar Institute of Dentistry, Dr. Zubair Hassan Awaisi and MS Nishtar Institute of Dentistry Dr. Tariq Hameed.
Participants received practical training in CPR, airway management, and emergency scenarios, enhancing their competence, confidence, and ability to respond effectively in critical situations. New graduates were also introduced to unexpected life-saving skills within their clinical environment, broadening their awareness and preparedness.
Such initiatives play a pivotal role in strengthening the professional readiness of young healthcare providers to act decisively when every second counts. ⏱️💙

NID Multan Annual Dinner was successfully evented on 21st November 2025.
OUR SPECIAL GUESTS were VC NMU Prof. Dr. Mehnaz Khakwani and Chairman sports committee NMU Prof. Dr Masood ur rauf Hiraj.
Worthy Principal NID Prof. Dr. Zubair Hassan Awaisi and Chairman Sports Committee NID Prof. Dr. Muhammad Waheed Tahir along with MS NID DR. Tariq Hameed welcomed them.
Various Performances of Singing and Skits from all four BDS classes were permormed on stage.
All faculty of NID were present there and enjoyed the event.
Associate Prof. Dr. Asif Nazir, Associate Prof. Dr. Amjad Bari, Assistant Prof Dr. Rauf, Asst Prof Dr. Rabia Safdar Khan and all sports committee members were there.
Event started with the name of ALLAH with beautiful tilawat and NAAT and then welcomed CHIEF guests at the venue. Students performed Singing, dance and skits with short videos of spweek 2k25. At the end Shields and awards were distributed amont the students by VCNMU, Prof. Hiraj, Principalo NID Prof Waheed, Assoc Prof Asif nazir, Assoc Prof Dr. Amjad Bari, MS NID Dr. Tariq Hameed and othewr guests and at the end Dinner at the avenue.
