Today marks a historic milestone at the Institute of Kidney Diseases (IKD), as we humbly announce the successful completion of the "first-ever deceased donor renal transplant" in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. This extraordinary achievement was made possible by the remarkable leadership of "Prof. Asif Malik, Chairman MTRA" along with exceptional collaboration among the dedicated teams of MTRA, PKLI, Bahria Hospital, and IKD.

This landmark achievement is not only a medical breakthrough but will also serve as a powerful inspiration, paving the way to raise awareness and encourage deceased organ donation helping countless lives in the future.

For the first time in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Institute of Kidney Diseases (IKD) Peshawar has launched lithotripsy services for children under anesthesia, thanks to the dedicated efforts of Director IKD, Dr. Muhammad Kamran Khan. This marks a significant milestone in improving pediatric urological care in the region. Previously, families were compelled to seek these services in other provinces, leading to increased financial strain and emotional stress.

🌟 A Heartwarming Start to the New Year! 🌟

The new year kicks off with another remarkable series of weekend charity surgical lists by Khyber Institute of Paediatric Urology (KIPU)! Over 10 complex paediatric urological procedures were successfully performed free of charge, helping to reduce the long waiting time for surgeries at the Paediatric Urology Unit of the Institute of Kidney Diseases (IKD).

A heartfelt thank you to Associate Professor Muhammad Kamran Khan, Chairman of KIPU and Head of the Paediatric Urology Department at IKD. His unwavering dedication, tireless efforts, and compassionate leadership continue to make a profound difference in the lives of children and their families. 🙌💙

A huge gathering at Institute of kidney diseases today to commemorate an important milestone, the inauguration of upgraded Paediatric Urology Unit from 12 beds to 25 beds and creation of designated play area for paediatric patients, by Honourable Health Minister Syed Waim Ali Shah.
Honourable Minister also cut cake with paediatric patients and wished them a good health. With special thanks to Director IKD Prof.Dr Mazhar khan,we are looking forward to further expand our services to meet the urological issues of growing paediatric population of Pakistan.

A two days Laproscopic Urology and pediatric colorectal workshop, held on 7,8 March at Institute of Kidney Diseases Hayatabad Peshawar. It was first of its kind collaboration in KP between Pediatric Urology Unit IKD and Pediatric Surgery LRH. The participants from across the country appreciated and acknowledged the event.
On colorectal day primary transanal endorectal swensons procedure and PSARP with perineal body sparing procedure were performed.
On Pediatric Urology day Laparoscopic Pyeloplasty and Laparoscopic Nephrectomy were performed.
At the end shield and certificate distribution was held with a note of thanks from Dr. Muhammad kamran Head Of Pediatric Urology Unit IKD.
