History Made at the Institute of Kidney Diseases
Today marks a historic milestone at the Institute of Kidney Diseases (IKD), as we humbly announce the successful completion of the "first-ever deceased donor renal transplant" in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. This extraordinary achievement was made possible by the remarkable leadership of "Prof. Asif Malik, Chairman MTRA" along with exceptional collaboration among the dedicated teams of MTRA, PKLI, Bahria Hospital, and IKD.

Our deepest gratitude and admiration go to the family whose unimaginable sacrifice gave the gift of life and hope to five individuals in desperate need two kidneys, one liver, and sight restored to two people. The unsung hero, the brave father who chose compassion over grief, exemplifies the highest human spirit, turning profound loss into enduring hope.
This landmark achievement is not only a medical breakthrough but will also serve as a powerful inspiration, paving the way to raise awareness and encourage deceased organ donation helping countless lives in the future.
We pray to Almighty Allah to grant the little angel the highest rewards (**ajar-e-azeem**) and bestow His immense blessings and comfort upon this courageous family.
