Galactosemia and Screening
Galactosemia is a rare genetic disorder where the body cannot process galactose, leading to toxic buildup. It can cause liver damage, cataracts, and developmental delays. Newborn screening detects it early through a blood test, enabling prompt dietary management to prevent complications.

"Exciting progress by our trainee, Dr. Abbas! He has successfully performed an exchange transfusion , sharing his expertise through an educational video for fellow neonatal students. A big step forward in skill development and knowledge sharing. Well done, Dr. Abbas! Stay tuned for more insights and learning moments."

Note

There are various ways of cutting the cord but better to leave small stump intact rather a neat cut.
