Grateful. Inspired. Privileged.
As I conclude my fellowship, I find it difficult to put into words what this journey has meant to me. Working under the guidance of Prof. Uluney Kanatlı has been nothing short of transformative. Not only is he a world-renowned shoulder surgeon, but also a truly exceptional mentor—skillful, humble, patient, and deeply committed to teaching.
Every day in the operating room and clinic was a lesson—not just in surgical precision, but in compassion, professionalism, and dedication to excellence. His calm demeanor, attention to detail, and respect for both patients and colleagues are qualities I will carry with me throughout my career.
Beyond academics and surgery, this experience has been filled with warmth, kindness, and unforgettable moments. The farewell gathering was a beautiful reflection of the bonds built here—memories I will always cherish.
I leave with enhanced skills, broadened perspectives, and a heart full of gratitude. This chapter will always remain one of the most meaningful in my professional journey.

It was a great pleasure and honor to spend valuable learning time with my mentor, Professor Uluney Kanatli, a world-renowned shoulder surgeon with exceptional expertise in arthroscopic shoulder surgery.
His precision in shoulder arthroscopic interventions, deep understanding of the field, and excellent clinical results truly reflect his mastery and dedication to orthopedic sports medicine.
I was especially touched to see that he keeps with him a Badshahi Masjid statue and a miniature vehicle brought from Pakistan, which made me feel a special personal connection and warmth.
Standing beside the bookshelf filled with books written by him was also a proud and inspiring moment for me. It reminded me how knowledge, dedication, and mentorship shape future generations of surgeons.
I am truly glad and grateful to have had the opportunity to work with him and further improve my skills in shoulder surgery and sports medicine.
A mentor who teaches not only techniques, but also excellence and passion for the profession.

مہمند سٹوڈنٹس یونین گزشتہ دو ماہ سے بھرپور جدوجہد کر رہی ہے کہ ایم بی بی ایس اور بی ڈی ایس میرٹ لسٹ سے ان تمام ناموں کو ہٹایا جائے جنہوں نے مہمند کوٹے پر درخواست دی لیکن وہ مہمند سے تعلق نہیں رکھتے۔ اس مقصد کے لیے ہم نے سرکاری حکام، سیاسی رہنماؤں، اور قومی مشران سے ملاقاتیں کیں اور احتجاج بھی کیے، لیکن تاحال کوئی تسلی بخش نتیجہ حاصل نہیں ہوا۔
لہٰذا مہمند سٹوڈنٹس یونین نے فیصلہ کیا ہے کہ اس مسئلے کے مستقل حل کے لیے تمام متعلقہ اسٹیک ہولڈرز، سیاسی و غیر سیاسی شخصیات، فلاحی تنظیموں اور ملک صاحبان کا ایک عظیم الشان جرگہ بلایا جائے۔
