Press Release:
A delegation of KP Society of Anaesthesia-KPSA (KPSA), led by General Secretary Dr. Allauddin, met with the CEO of the Post Graduate Medical Institute (PGMI). The KPSA delegation also included HMC Focal Person Dr. Shareef and Information Secretary Dr. Khalid.
Key Issues Discussed:
1.👉Insufficient Exam Time.
The delegation highlighted that despite the allotted time being three hours, candidates were only given two hours to complete the exam, which may have caused undue stress and impacted their performance.
2. 👉MCQ Format
The KPSA delegation expressed concerns that the MCQs were lengthy and scenario-based, which was contrary to the expected format of one or two-liner questions. This deviation from the expected format may have caused confusion and difficulty for the candidates.
Outcome of the Meeting:
The CEO of PGMI provided reassurance and categorically declared that a meeting would be convened with KMU officials to address and settle all concerns. The KPSA delegation appreciated the CEO's commitment to resolving the matter and looks forward to a positive outcome.
Next Steps:
The KPSA delegation awaits the outcome of the meeting between PGMI and KMU officials, which aims to resolve the issues and ensure a fair and transparent examination process for Diploma Anaesthesia exams.
