𝐊𝐧𝐞𝐞 𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐫 𝐦𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐦 𝐝𝐲𝐬𝐟𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 are group of morbidities that involve the quadriceps muscles, quadriceps tendon, patella, and patellar ligament.
The extensor mechanism of the knee comprises the quadriceps muscle and tendon, the patella, and the patellar tendon (also known as the infra-patellar ligament). 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐫𝐮𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 impairs a person’s ability to actively extend the knee or resist passive flexion. Such injuries are therefore incompatible with normal walking and standing. Failure of the quadriceps or patellar tendon is often, but not always, preceded by painful tendinopathy.
A patient came to our clinic with knee extensor mechanism dysfunction especially due to patellofemoral joint dysfunction and was treated by 𝐃𝐫 𝐅𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐚 𝐈𝐡𝐬𝐚𝐧 ( 𝐏𝐓 ).After only one session, 70 percent of the condition is improved according to the patient.

𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫, also known as stenosing tenosynovitis, is a disorder characterized by catching or locking of the involved finger.Pain may occur in the palm of the hand or knuckles.The name is due to the popping sound made by the affected finger when moved. Most commonly the ring finger or thumb is affected.

𝐑𝐢𝐬𝐤 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬 include repeated injury, diabetes, kidney disease, thyroid disease, and inflammatory disease. The underlying mechanism involves the tendon sheath being too narrow for the flexor tendon.This typically occurs at the level of the A1 pulley.While often referred to as a type of stenosing tenosynovitis, little inflammation appears to be present.
A patient came to our clinic and was assessed thoroughly by 𝐃𝐫 𝐀𝐛𝐝𝐮𝐥 𝐇𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐞𝐛 ( 𝐏𝐓 ) and 𝐃𝐫 𝐅𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐚 𝐈𝐡𝐬𝐚𝐧 ( 𝐏𝐓) and was diagnosed as trigger finger.Patient was guided with the treatment plan and was educated about the condition and further medical treatment options.
