Provincial Health Minister Khawaja Imran formally Launches the HPV Vaccination Campaign in Punjab.
The Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Vaccination Campaign was launched at Faletti’s Hotel, Lahore, chaired by Provincial Health Minister Khawaja Imran Nazir, with senior health leaders, medical experts, development partners, teachers, and students in attendance.
In his address, the Minister cautioned against vaccine misinformation, reaffirmed Punjab’s commitment to eliminating cervical cancer, and urged parents to ensure vaccination of girls aged 9–14 years.
The event concluded with a live vaccination session, showcasing trained health workers administering HPV vaccines to eligible girls. A special tribute was also paid to Dr. Khalil Ahmed, outgoing DGHS Punjab, for his decades of service.
💉 This milestone marks a strong step toward a cancer-free future for Punjab’s women and girls.

وزیرِ صحت خواجہ عمران نذیر نے سرویکل کینسر سے بچاؤ کی ویکسین مہم کا افتتاح کر دیا

صوبائی وزیرِ صحت و آبادی خواجہ عمران نذیر نے لاہور میں ایچ پی وی (سرویکل کینسر سے بچاؤ) ویکسینیشن مہم کا افتتاح کیا۔

یہ مہم وزیرِ اعلیٰ پنجاب مریم نواز شریف کے وژن کے تحت شروع کی گئی ہے۔

تقریب میں مشیر وزیرِ اعلیٰ عظمیٰ کاردار، یونیسیف، ڈبلیو ایچ او کے نمائندگان اور سکول کی بچیاں شریک ہوئیں۔

مہم کے دوران 27 ستمبر تک صوبے کی 80 لاکھ بچیوں کو بلا معاوضہ ویکسین دی جائے گی۔
اس مقصد کے لیے 6277 ٹیمیں تعینات کی گئی ہیں اور ویکسین ای پی آئی مراکز پر بھی دستیاب ہے۔

وزیرِ صحت نے کہا کہ ایک سیاسی جماعت مہم کے خلاف پروپیگنڈا کر رہی ہے۔

انہوں نے اعلان کیا کہ گمراہ کن مہم چلانے والوں کے خلاف سائبر کرائم اور ایف آئی اے میں کارروائی ہوگی۔

انہوں نے والدین سے اپیل کی کہ پروپیگنڈے پر کان نہ دھریں اور اپنی بچیوں کو لازمی ویکسین لگوائیں۔

خواجہ عمران نذیر نے کہا کہ یہ ویکسین دنیا کے کئی اسلامی ممالک میں کامیابی سے استعمال ہو رہی ہے۔

انہوں نے کہا کہ وزیرِ اعلیٰ مریم نواز شریف کی قیادت میں بچیوں کو کینسر سے بچانے کے لیے ہر ممکن اقدامات کیے جا رہے ہیں۔

حکومت پنجاب 15 تا 27 ستمبر حلال اور محفوظ HPV ویکسینیشن مہم چلا رہی ہے تاکہ 9 تا 14 سال کی بیٹیاں سرویکل کینسر جیسے مہلک مرض سے بچ سکیں۔

اپنی بیٹیوں کو لازمی طور پر یہ ویکسین لگوائیں تاکہ وہ مستقبل میں سرویکل کینسر سے محفوظ رہ سکیں۔
