Shakeel from , accompanied the Secretary and provided a comprehensive briefing on service delivery, facility performance, and ongoing improvement initiatives. The visit reflects the vision of the Chief Minister Punjab to enhance advanced healthcare access in the region through the development of Cath Lab, Angiographic, and Modular Operation Room services, ensuring modern, life-saving facilities for the community.

• 🩺 Delivers the gas mixture to the patient via the breathing circuit

• ♻️ Removes CO₂ through the absorber
• ✔️ In short: it supports breathing, maintains anesthesia, and keeps the airway safe
🔵 2️⃣ Essential Components
• 🟢 Gas Sources: O₂, N₂O cylinders, medical air, pipeline supply
• 🔧 Pressure Regulators: Reduce high cylinder pressure
• 🌬️ Flowmeters: O₂, Air, N₂O
• 🧪 Vaporizers: Convert Iso / Sevo into v***r
• 🫁 Breathing Circuit: Delivers gases to the patient
• ♻️ CO₂ Absorber: Soda-lime canister
• 🤖 Ventilator: Controls RR, tidal volume, pressure
• 📟 Monitors: SpO₂, ECG, EtCO₂, NIBP
🔵 3️⃣ Basic Usage & Monitoring
• ✔️ Perform leak test before every procedure
• 🫁 Attach breathing circuit (mask or ETT)
• ⚖️ Adjust ratios: e.g., 50% O₂ + 2% Sevoflurane
• 🤖 Set ventilator according to surgery
• 🔴 Continuously monitor EtCO₂ – the most critical parameter during anesthesia

🔵 4️⃣ Routine Maintenance

• 🧪 Daily leak test
• 🌬️ Check flowmeters for blockages
• ♻️ Replace soda-lime regularly
• 🧪 Calibrate v***rizers annually
• 🧼 Clean breathing circuit between cases
• 🔔 Ensure alarms are working properly
