Complementary Feeding After 6 Months

At 6 months, babies need more than breast milk alone. Start safe and nutritious complementary foods while continuing breastfeeding up to 2 years and beyond.

✔ Begin with soft mashed foods like fruits, vegetables, cereals, pulses, and eggs
✔ Feed 2–3 times a day at 6–8 months, then increase as the child grows
✔ Always keep food preparation clean and safe
✔ Be patient and encourage the child – never force feed

Breast milk + complementary feeding = Healthy growth and strong immunity

The Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever (CCHF) is a life-threatening viral disease, commonly transmitted through the blood of infected animals—especially during Eid-ul-Adha, when animal handling is at its peak.
📊 In recent years, the toll has been alarming:
• 2023 – 17 reported deaths
• 2024 – 9 fatalities
• 2025 – Already 1 life lost
⚠️ There is no known cure for CCHF.
🛡️ Prevention remains the only effective defense.
Follow these safety measures:
✔️ Wear protective gloves while handling livestock
✔️ Ensure proper disposal of animal waste and offal
✔️ Avoid direct contact with animal blood and tissues
This Eid, let’s act responsibly.
Protect your health, your loved ones, and your community.
