Quetta | 08.04.2026: A surprise inspection was conducted by the Balochistan Healthcare Commission (BHCC) team.
During the visit, Mideast Hospital Quetta was thoroughly inspected, including its NICU and other operational units. It was observed with serious concern that, despite prior directions issued by BHCC to immediately cease NICU operations until obtaining proper registration, the hospital failed to comply. Patients were found admitted and receiving care in the NICU in clear violation of regulatory instructions.

The inspection team also visited Jailani Hospital Statellite Town Quetta, where the Emergency Unit was reviewed, along with the previously sealed Dialysis and Radiology (X-ray) units. While the official seals remained intact, it was noted that the official markings had been deliberately concealed, which constitutes a serious regulatory breach.

In view of these grave violations, formal notices have been issued to both hospitals, directing their managements to appear before the BHCC office for further proceedings.

BHCC remains steadfast in its mandate to enforce compliance, uphold healthcare standards, protect patient safety, and take strict action against all violations of regulatory requirements.
