Dr. Basha Othman, the Habilitation Manager of Cochlear from Australia, visit to the partner department A V Hearing Aids & Implantable Hearing Solutions in Islamabad. Upon her arrival, She was given a warm welcome by Dr. Muneer Ahmed, Ultamish, and Adil Muneer, Kamran Khan Rana. accompanied by the dedicated team from Audiomedics. The visit marked an important moment of collaboration and engagement, strengthening the professional ties between Cochlear and its partners in Pakistan.

Mr. Kamran Khan Rana earned his Master's degree in 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐞𝐜𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 from prestigious institute, Riphah International University, Islamabad. Thank you to my mentors for shaping me that truly reflects in my contributions and sucesses. Mr. Kamran Khan Rana Is Honored as a 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐏𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐢, 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐀𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 -𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐛𝐚𝐥- 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐔𝐊𝐌, 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐚, currently serving as Head of Department Speech & Language Pathology Centre, Cochlear Implant Department, at Capital Hospital CDA Islamabad.

He is highly qualified and experienced professional, holding various certifications and degrees from prestigious national and international institutions.
He is Team member of a well-known Organization Cleft Care Foundation (CCF) since 2024. He is also Ex-Senior Lecturer and Speech Pathologist at Riphah International Hospital, Islamabad. Mr Rana has contributed as a chairman of Sports committee at University of the Punjab; His diverse experiences reflect his commitment to improving the lives of individuals with communication disorders.

برطانیہ میں مقیم معروف ڈاکٹر نوید احمد، جو جیمز کک یونیورسٹی ہسپتال سے تعلق رکھتے ہیں، نے دو دنوں میں چھ کوکلیئر امپلانٹ سرجریاں کامیابی سے مکمل کیں۔ یہ پروگرام اکتوبر 2022 میں شروع کیا گیا تھا، جس کے دوران چھ بچوں کو کوکلیئر امپلانٹ لگائے گئے تھے۔

پروگرام کے دوسرے مرحلے میں، مزید چھ امپلانٹ 22 دسمبر 2023 کو کامیابی سے مکمل کیے گئے۔ تیسرے مرحلے میں 12 اور 13 دسمبر 2024 کو ایڈوانسڈ بایونکس (AB) اور Cochlear.co کے چھ مزید امپلانٹ لگائے گئے۔

ان سرجریوں کے لیے آڈیولوجیکل خدمات، تفصیلی پری کوکلیئر اسیسمنٹ، اور امیدواروں کا انتخاب اے وی ہیئرنگ ایڈز اینڈ ایمپلانٹ ایبل سلوشنز کے ماہرین، جن میں مسٹر عادل منیر (آڈیولوجسٹ)، مسٹر التمش (آڈیولوجسٹ)، اور مسٹر کامران خان رانا (سرٹیفائیڈ آڈیٹری وربل تھراپسٹ) شامل تھے، نے نہایت مہارت کے ساتھ انجام دیا۔ ان کی محنت اور مہارت نے اس پروگرام کی کامیابی میں کلیدی کردار ادا کیا۔

Renowned UK-based specialist, Dr. Noweed Ahmed from James Cook University Hospital, successfully performed six cochlear implant surgeries over two days, continuing a program that began in October 2022, during which six children received cochlear implants.

The second phase of the program saw another six implants successfully completed on December 22, 2023. The third tenure included six more surgeries using Advanced Bionics (AB) and Cochlear.co implants, performed on December 12 and 13, 2024.

The audiological services, detailed pre-cochlear assessments, and candidate selection for these surgeries were meticulously managed by Mr. Adil Munir (Audiologist), Mr. Ultamish (Audiologist), and Mr. Kamran Khan Rana (Certified Auditory Verbal Therapist) at A V Hearing Aids & Implantable Solutions. Their commitment and expertise have been instrumental in the ongoing success of this impactful program.

The audiological assessment, pre-cochlear evaluation, and candidate selection were carried out by Mr. Adil Munir (Audiologist), Mr. Ultamish (Audiologist), and Mr. Kamran Khan Rana (Certified Auditory Verbal Therapist) at AV Hearing Aids & Implantable Solutions,and PIMS hospital in collaboration with the International Medical Relief Agency (IMRA).
