Workshop on Auditory Verbal Therapy (AVT) Held at Riphah International Hospital.

A successful workshop titled “Auditory Verbal Therapy (AVT) – Overview & Application” was conducted at Riphah International Hospital, Islamabad on Tuesday, 20th May 2025.

The session was organized by the Speech & Language Pathology Department of Riphah International University. The workshop was facilitated by Mr. Kamran Khan Rana, a First Certified Auditory Verbal Professional in Pakistan and an experienced Speech and Language Pathologist.

The interactive session aimed to provide participants with a foundational understanding of the principles and application of Auditory Verbal Therapy, particularly for children with hearing impairments who are using hearing aids or cochlear implants.

The highlight of the event was the presence of Professor Dr. Humeria Shameem Kiyani, Head of the Speech Therapy Department at Riphah international Riphah International University. She honored the event with her inspiring words and awarded a shield of appreciation to Mr. Kamran Khan Rana in recognition of his valuable contribution and commitment to advancing speech and language therapy practices in Pakistan.

The workshop was attended by speech therapists, and students who actively participated in discussions and practical demonstrations. The event concluded with a group photo and an appreciation note from the organizing department.
