Al-Shifa Trust Eye Hospital Sukkur has successfully performed another 4 cornea transplants for deserving local patients. Today, during their post-op follow-up, we're thrilled to report that all procedures were a resounding success.

Since September 2023, we've had the privilege of performing a total of 21 cornea transplants, completely free of charge. This wouldn't have been possible without the unwavering support of our dedicated team and the generosity of our donors.

At Al-Shifa Trust Eye Hospital Sukkur, our mission is to bring vision and hope to those in need, and with each successful surgery, we're one step closer to fulfilling that vision.

Out of 1,000 people in need of a cornea transplant, only 10 receive this life-changing surgery due to lack of awareness and availability of cornea donations. Most cornea donations come from donors in America. Yet, the demand far exceeds the supply, especially in our own backyard.

Proudly, Al-Shifa Trust Eye Hospital is leading the charge in our country, performing more cornea transplants. Prof. Dr. Wajid Ali Khan, Chief of Medical Services and HOD of the Cornea Department, sheds light on it.
