Here I am working on child's basic counting skills which is required in every life.

Requesting child from getting two spoons from the kitchen to bringing three balls.... Numbers are everywhere.

For teaching I'm using scaffolding.

Purposes of scaffolding
Scaffolding is a teaching method that involves gradually shedding the instructor’s assistance as students increase their understanding. Scaffolding serves a variety of purposes during learning, allowing the instructor to:

I am using this activity with a child who is recently enrolled in school. During speech sessions we did "mango" and the very first word he encountered in his book was "آم". Teachers and mother got confused as how to tell him the difference. So, the key is whenever you are building a new skill deliver it while representing an opposite of it. Here it was misunderstanding between Urdu and English that's why I have presented both with the label of category.
