🧘Half Spinal Twist -

1. Come to the mat seated with your legs stretched out infront of you. Bend your right leg first bringing your foot to the inside of your left knee.

2. On the Inhale, place your right hand behind you and wrap your arm around the knee while maintaining a straight spine chest faced forward.

3. Before placing hands down on the exhale, begin to twist your torso towards your bent knee from deep within the belly

4. When you have twisted as far as you can without using hands, place your hand on the ground to deepen the twist.

Hold the stretch for 10 deep breaths. Release on the exhale and repeat on.

Benefits:-
1. Twists help to aid digestion. Twists can help move food in the right direction.
2. Twists increase blood flow which increases circulation and increases cellular detoxification.
3. Twists reduce back pain. By stretching your spine, you strengthen your back muscles and increase their flexibility, thus reducing pain and allowing for more stable lifts.

🌲Tree Pose is one of the first standing balancing poses practitioners of yoga learn.

🌿 How to do it?
1. Start with mountain pose and shift your body weight into one leg keeping the inner foot firmly on the floor. This will be your standing leg. If you feel unstable standing on one leg, practice it against the wall.
2. Raise the other leg up and bend the knee. Reach down with the hand and claps your ankle.
3. Place the sole of the foot against the upper thigh of the standing leg with the toes pointing down. If you can't bring your leg up this high you can also place it lower down. You should never place it directly against the knee. Bring above the joint instead.
4. Bring bent knee into the midline.
5. Let your groins move back and apart of jio you keep your abdomen strong.
6. Stretch spine in two directions. Down into the bones of your legs and up through the top of the head.
7. Once you feel stable, take arms up overhead.

🪴 Benefits: Tree Pose is a great Asana to entire the entire leg from thigh to valve ankles and foot muscles. This stretches the groins and inner thighs and opens the hips. It also provides a gentle stretch for the chest and shoulders.

You will be residing at Serena Shigar Fort and Khaplu Palace that offers guests the opportunity to experience the restored original architecture of the 17th Century Raja Fort Palace while enjoying the modern amenities and services of a luxury guest house. It is located on the legendary route to the world’s second-highest mountain K-2, and known as Fong-Khar, which in the local language means the “Palace on the Rock”. Khaplu Palace is an old fort in GB, region of northern Pakistan. The palace considered an architectural heritage and a tourist attraction was built in the mid 19 century, replacing an earlier fort located nearby. It is served as a royal residence for the Raja of Khaplu.

(The name means “hot water” in the local Balti tongue. In Chutran, there is a medicinal hot spring. Over the decades, the spa has become popular with the local people, who are even coming from beyond Hunza (15 hours by road) to soak in the 40 - plus degree Celsius water)

In this YOGA STUDIO, postures are practiced to align, strengthen and promote flexibility in the body. Breathing techniques and meditation are also integrated. You can expect an emphasis on simplicity, repetition, and ease of movement. Full-body relaxation and balance are the goals, as we make a full circuit of the body’s range of motion with standing postures, twists, back bends, forward folds, and hip openers.

We accommodate a variety of classes and styles to meet a range of student needs. We strive to offer a well-rounded approach to the mental, spiritual, and physical practice - our focus involves more than just the postures. All of our classes are open to everyone, unless specified with a prerequisite.

We recommend committing to 2-3 classes a week to experience the benefits of a regular practice. Balancing your Yoga with a weekly Pilates class will help you build additional strength and tone.
