Clicking from Jaw joint and pain with deviated lower jaw opening is a sign of jaw joint disk displacement.
An initial therapy given in these patient is a splint to wear for a certain period. This mostly resolves the issue with some medications.
(For dentist and medics: Stabilizing splint is given prior to anterior repositioning splint in patients with anterior disk displacement with reduction. Purpose of this splint is to raise the occlusion by 2mm in centric occlusion so the pressure on joint is released)
