The Department of Paediatric Surgery organized a Clinicopathological Conference at Khawaja Muhammad Safdar Medical College Sialkot, under the supervision of Worthy Principal, 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙛. 𝘿𝙧. 𝙃𝙪𝙢𝙖 𝙆𝙖𝙮𝙖𝙣𝙞 𝙎𝙖𝙞𝙜𝙤𝙡, and respected Head of Department - Paediatric Surgery, 𝘿𝙧. 𝘼𝙗𝙞𝙙 𝙃𝙪𝙨𝙨𝙖𝙞𝙣.

🔎 Topic: “𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑼𝒎𝒃𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒍 𝑪𝒍𝒖𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒂𝒏 𝑬𝒎𝒃𝒓𝒚𝒐𝒏𝒊𝒄 𝑴𝒚𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒚 (𝑷𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝑽𝒊𝒕𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒐𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑫𝒖𝒄𝒕 - 𝑷𝑽𝑰𝑫)”

The case was presented by Dr. Abid's team of Postgraduate Residents and House Officers, who delivered a comprehensive and well-structured presentation, followed by an interactive discussion and Q&A session.

The effort was commended by the Principal, faculty members, and medical students, reflecting the commitment of the Paediatric Surgery department towards academic excellence and clinical training.

On 21st August 2025, Khawaja Muhammad Safdar Medical College Sialkot proudly hosted its first Blood Donation Camp, inaugurated by our legendary Principal, 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙛. 𝘿𝙧. 𝙃𝙪𝙢𝙖 𝙆𝙖𝙮𝙖𝙣𝙞 𝙎𝙖𝙞𝙜𝙤𝙡.

The event began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by a welcome address from 𝙎𝙖𝙦𝙡𝙖𝙞𝙣 𝙕𝙖𝙝𝙚𝙚𝙧 (Batch K11, President of KMSians Blood Donation Society).
Our Worthy Principal then shared her encouraging remarks, inspiring both students and faculty.

🎀 After the ribbon-cutting ceremony, a historic moment took place - Prof. Huma Kayani became the first donor, setting an exemplary standard of service. She was soon joined by our dedicated medical students who stepped forward enthusiastically to donate blood.

Organized by the 𝙆𝙈𝙎𝙞𝙖𝙣𝙨 𝘽𝙡𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝘿𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙎𝙤𝙘𝙞𝙚𝙩𝙮 and 𝙆𝙪𝙡𝙨𝙤𝙤𝙢 𝙎𝙤𝙘𝙞𝙚𝙩𝙮, the camp was dedicated to supporting thalassemia patients who depend on regular transfusions for survival.

The event was also graced by the presence of Medical Superintendent Allama Iqbal Memorial Teaching Hospital Sialkot., 𝘿𝙧. 𝙎𝙤𝙝𝙖𝙞𝙡 𝘼𝙣𝙟𝙪𝙢 𝘽𝙪𝙩𝙩, along with respected faculty members, whose encouragement added great value to this noble initiative.

An engaging Q&A session, led by 𝘿𝙧. 𝙎𝙝𝙖𝙢𝙨 𝙈𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙧, encouraged interactive learning and in-depth discussion on the topic.

Madam Principal appreciated the efforts of the organizing team while emphasizing the importance of including research articles published within the last 5 years, to ensure that only the most updated and evidence-based knowledge is shared in future CPCs.

The ribbon was graciously cut by Respected Deputy Commissioner Sialkot, 𝙈𝙨. 𝙎𝙖𝙗𝙖 𝘼𝙨𝙜𝙝𝙖𝙧 𝘼𝙡𝙞, in the presence of Worthy Principal KMSMC, 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙛. 𝘿𝙧. 𝙃𝙪𝙢𝙖 𝙆𝙖𝙮𝙖𝙣𝙞 𝙎𝙖𝙞𝙜𝙤𝙡, and MS AIMTH, 𝘿𝙧. 𝙎𝙤𝙝𝙖𝙞𝙡 𝘼𝙣𝙟𝙪𝙢 𝘽𝙪𝙩𝙩 who hosted this memorable event.

𝙈𝙪𝙝𝙖𝙢𝙢𝙖𝙙 𝙄𝙠𝙧𝙖𝙢 (President KRC) and 𝙈𝙤𝙣𝙞𝙯𝙖 𝙏𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙦 (K11) presented research findings on Hepatitis screening and vaccination among KMSMC medical students, highlighting current awareness levels and the need for proactive institutional measures.

𝙄𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙝𝙞𝙢 𝙋𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙖𝙞𝙯 (K14) delivered a concise and informative presentation on Hepatitis types, transmission, and prevention.

Prof. Dr. Huma delivered powerful concluding remarks, reminding all that “charity begins at home.” She emphasized that healthcare professionals must lead by example, by getting screened and vaccinated first, before advocating for the community.
She vowed to ensure every medical student at KMSMC is screened for Hepatitis in the coming weeks.

An important onsite visit was conducted by the Strategic Planning Unit (SPU) of the Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education Department, Punjab, in collaboration with revered Principal Khawaja Muhammad Safdar Medical College Sialkot, 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙛. 𝘿𝙧. 𝙃𝙪𝙢𝙖 𝙆𝙖𝙮𝙖𝙣𝙞 𝙎𝙖𝙞𝙜𝙤𝙡, and the Medical Superintendent of Allama Iqbal Memorial Teaching Hospital Sialkot., 𝘿𝙧. 𝙎𝙤𝙝𝙖𝙞𝙡 𝘼𝙣𝙟𝙪𝙢 𝘽𝙪𝙩𝙩.

The visit aimed to finalise the location for the upcoming 500-bedded hospital in Sialkot, a landmark healthcare initiative that will significantly enhance medical services and infrastructure for the region.

This development reflects the government’s commitment to improving healthcare accessibility and providing state-of-the-art medical facilities to the people of Sialkot.

Today our esteemed Principal, 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙛. 𝘿𝙧. 𝙃𝙪𝙢𝙖 𝙆𝙖𝙮𝙖𝙣𝙞 𝙎𝙖𝙞𝙜𝙤𝙡, along with Medical Superintendent AIMTH/GSBTH, 𝘿𝙧. 𝙎𝙤𝙝𝙖𝙞𝙡 𝘼𝙣𝙟𝙪𝙢 𝘽𝙪𝙩𝙩, paid an official visit to 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐒𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐫 𝐁𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐦 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐤𝐨𝐭, our second affiliated teaching hospital.
