About us
Col Sultan’s Lab was founded in 1992 by Col Sultan Mahmood (classified pathologist) after his retirement from Pak Army. Graduated from King Edward Medical College, Lahore, he joined Pak Army in 1971 during the war and got his retirement in 1991. During his service he was posted at different stations like Quetta, Pannu Aqil, Rawalpindi, Lahore and Sialkot. He is well known among the pathologists of Pakistan for his efforts to establish new standards in CMH of every station that he was posted to. Upon his retirement, he decided to get settled in Sialkot, since Sialkot was one of the cities that lacked a good quality and standardized lab at that time.
Col Sultan’s Lab was established with a vision to provide best possible pathological diagnosis in best possible price. Alhamdulillah, after so many years this legacy continues as it is. Having the best available equipment in the market and keeping a low cost is something that is very difficult to coup with. Since this lab was never established with a business vision, we can handle this problem quite easily. We at Col Sultan’s Lab generate our resources ourselves and serve the needy and the poor as much as we can.
We at Col Sultan’s Lab believe in “hard-work”. We test every case quite carefully and many checks are installed at different levels to ensure an error-free result reaches our patients. The technologists, doctors and pathologists in this lab are sincere to their work and the patients, therefore the errors are scarce. The standard of our lab-work can be estimated from the fact that we are proud to be the only lab in Sialkot where students from different paramedical schools and colleges apply for internships and for practical learning. We happily embrace the new students, teach them, show them how to work, let them practice and also grant them scholarships so that they may fully concentrate on their studies and work.
We are also proud to be the first lab of Sialkot to introduce online-reports to our valuable customers. We are also pioneer in providing “free home sample collection” to our loyal customers. Handling all these processes and procedures are not easy but we are thankful to you and specifically to Allah for granting us power to run the lab in a very successful and powerful way.
