Our Public Health Department students recently visited the rural health center Darmai, where theory met reality and textbooks turned into living lessons. Walking through the modest facility, we observed dedicated health workers delivering essential services with limited resources, engaged in hands‑on activities like vaccination drives, health‑education sessions, and basic screenings, and listened to the stories of community members who rely on this center for their primary care.

The experience reinforced the importance of equitable access, cultural sensitivity, and resilient health systems—principles that will guide us as future public‑health professionals. We are grateful to the Darmai health team for opening their doors and sharing their expertise, and we carry their lessons back to campus and beyond.

A special thank goes to , Dr. Qarib Ullah whose vision and support made this valuable field trip possible. Your encouragement has empowered us to step outside the classroom and apply our knowledge in real‑world settings.

🌍 Universal Health Coverage Day 2025: Health is a Human Right! 💙
Today, 12 December, we demand action on Universal Health Coverage (UHC).

The facts are alarming: More than half the world can't access basic health services, and 1 in 4 people face financial ruin just to get care. No one should have to choose between medicine and essentials like food or housing.

UHC means everyone gets the care they need—without financial stress.

When governments invest in health, communities become healthier, stronger, and more prosperous.

💪 Join the Movement:

Urge leaders to remove out-of-pocket fees and protect low-income families.

Encourage smart investments in health for all.

Let's build a world where no one is left behind.

Today, we stand together to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS, support those living with it, and remind our community that early testing and treatment can save lives.

HIV is preventable, and AIDS is manageable with timely care.
