𝟕𝟖𝐭𝐡 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐭 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 & 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐬 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞

The University of Modern Sciences-TUMS and 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 (𝗜𝗠𝗖) celebrated the 𝟳𝟴𝘁𝗵 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗮𝗸𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻 under the national theme "𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸-𝗲-𝗛𝗮𝗾" on 14th August 2025 with national pride and enthusiasm. The day’s proceedings began with the 𝗳𝗹𝗮𝗴 𝗵𝗼𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘆, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮 𝘀𝗮𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗯𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀, symbolizing unity and respect for the nation’s heritage.

The ceremony was hosted by 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼𝗿 𝗗𝗿. 𝗠𝘂𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗱 𝗜𝗾𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻 and 𝗩𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗗𝗿. 𝗙𝗲𝗿𝗼𝘇 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻, and attended by 𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗱 𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 including 𝘔𝘳. 𝘚𝘺𝘦𝘥 𝘈𝘪𝘫𝘢𝘻 𝘚𝘩𝘢𝘩 𝘉𝘶𝘬𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘪, 𝘔𝘗𝘈; 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘧. 𝘋𝘳. 𝘔𝘶𝘩𝘢𝘮𝘮𝘢𝘥 𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘴𝘶𝘧 𝘗𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯, 𝘈𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘪𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘳 𝘛𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘰 𝘔𝘶𝘩𝘢𝘮𝘮𝘢𝘥 𝘒𝘩𝘢𝘯, 𝘢𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘧𝘢𝘤𝘶𝘭𝘵𝘺 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘧𝘧 𝘮𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳𝘴.

The program featured a 𝗰𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗰𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘆 and 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝘄𝗲𝗲𝘁𝘀 among students, faculty, and staff, fostering a spirit of celebration and togetherness. Later, the dignitaries visited the 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗛𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹, where they 𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘣𝘶𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘴𝘸𝘦𝘦𝘵𝘴 𝘢𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘩𝘰𝘴𝘱𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘭 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘧𝘧, extending the message of compassion and solidarity.

On the occasion, a 𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 was awarded to 𝗠𝗿. 𝗔𝗿𝗶𝗳 𝗤𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗶, Media Coordinator, Education Department, in recognition of his dedicated efforts in promoting TUMS and IMC activities from 1st to 14th August 2025.

🌟 "𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐚-𝐞-𝐇𝐚𝐪" – 𝐓𝐔𝐌𝐒 & 𝐈𝐌𝐂 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐦 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐧 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 🌟

13 August 2025 – The University of Modern Sciences-TUMS and 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 & 𝗛𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 celebrated 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 with patriotic fervour under the theme "𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙠𝙖-𝙚-𝙃𝙖𝙦" at Qazi Mazhar Hussain Auditorium. The event began with welcome remarks by Honourable 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗗𝗿. 𝗙𝗲𝗿𝗼𝘇 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻 (𝗩𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼𝗿) and featured 𝒔𝒑𝒆𝒆𝒄𝒉𝒆𝒔, 𝑴𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒊 𝑵𝒂𝒈𝒎𝒂𝒔, 𝒕𝒂𝒃𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒖𝒔, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆𝒔 𝒃𝒚 𝒅𝒊𝒇𝒇𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒍𝒚-𝒂𝒃𝒍𝒆𝒅 𝑩𝒂-𝑯𝒊𝒎𝒎𝒂𝒕 𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒅𝒓𝒆𝒏. In 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀, 𝗠𝘀. 𝗔𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝗮 𝗡𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗻 secured 𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 and 𝗠𝗿𝘀. 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗸𝗮𝗻 𝗥𝗶𝘇𝘄𝗮𝗻 𝟮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, while in 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶 𝗡𝗮𝗴𝗺𝗮𝘀, 𝗠𝘀. 𝗔𝘆𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗮 & 𝗠𝘀. 𝗭𝘂𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗮 took 𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 and 𝗠𝗿. 𝗔𝗹𝘁𝗮𝗳 got 𝟮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 — all were awarded 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱𝘀. Participants also included 𝘔𝑟. 𝘔𝑢𝘩𝑎𝘮𝑚𝘢𝑑 𝐾𝘩𝑎𝘯, 𝑀𝘴. 𝑀𝘶𝑠𝘬𝑎𝘯 𝘙𝑎𝘩𝑖𝘮𝑢𝘥𝑑𝘪𝑛, 𝘔𝑟. 𝘛𝑎𝘩𝑖𝘳, 𝑀𝘳. 𝐻𝘢𝑟𝘪𝑠, 𝘔𝑟. 𝘔𝑜𝘦𝑒𝘯 𝘔𝑢𝘬ℎ𝘵𝑎𝘳, 𝑀𝘴. 𝑃𝘢𝑦𝘢𝑙 𝐿𝘰ℎ𝘢𝑛𝘢, 𝑎𝘯𝑑 𝑀𝘴. 𝑀𝘢𝑖𝘳𝑎𝘫 & 𝘔𝑠. 𝗠𝗿. 𝗦𝘆𝗲𝗱 𝗔𝗶𝗷𝗮𝘇 𝗛𝘂𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗵 𝗕𝗼𝗸𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗶 (𝗠𝗣𝗔) graced the occasion as "𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗳 𝗚𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁", with 𝙈𝙧. 𝘿𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙢𝙤𝙤𝙣 𝘽𝙝𝙖𝙬𝙖𝙣𝙞 (𝘿𝙚𝙥𝙪𝙩𝙮 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙞𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙚𝙧), 𝙈𝙧. 𝙃𝙖𝙨𝙚𝙚𝙗 𝙅𝙖𝙬𝙖𝙞𝙙 𝙎𝙤𝙤𝙢𝙖𝙧 𝙈𝙚𝙢𝙤𝙣 (𝙎𝙎𝙋) and 𝙈𝙧. 𝘼𝙨𝙞𝙢 𝙅𝙖𝙣 𝙎𝙞𝙧𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙞 (𝙈𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧 𝘽𝙊𝘿) as "𝙂𝙪𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙃𝙤𝙣𝙤𝙪𝙧". Honourable 𝗗𝗿. 𝗠𝘂𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗱 𝗜𝗾𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻 (𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼𝗿 & 𝗖𝗘𝗢) 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗗𝗿. 𝗙𝗲𝗿𝗼𝘇 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻 (𝗩𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼𝗿) presented 𝘀𝗼𝘂𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗿𝘀 to 𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 and 𝗗𝗿. 𝗠𝘂𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗱 𝗜𝗾𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻 announced a 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 for a 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘆𝗿’𝘀 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱. The celebrations also included 𝙁𝙡𝙖𝙜 𝙃𝙤𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 and 𝘾𝙖𝙠𝙚 𝘾𝙪𝙩𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 in the presence of all dignitaries, each of whom shared heartfelt remarks on the day’s significance. Gifts were presented to 𝗕𝗮-𝗛𝗶𝗺𝗺𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻, and excellence was recognized through the 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿-𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (1𝑠𝘵 – 𝘐𝑛𝘥𝑢𝘴 𝘊𝑜𝘭𝑙𝘦𝑔𝘦 𝘰𝑓 𝑁𝘶𝑟𝘴𝑖𝘯𝑔, 2𝑛𝘥 – 𝘋𝑃𝘛 𝘋𝑒𝘱𝑎𝘳𝑡𝘮𝑒𝘯𝑡, 3𝑟𝘥 – 𝘙𝑎𝘥𝑖𝘰𝑙𝘰𝑔𝘺 𝘋𝑒𝘱𝑎𝘳𝑡𝘮𝑒𝘯𝑡), 𝑊𝘦𝑏 𝑑𝘦𝑠𝘪𝑔𝘯 𝘸𝑖𝘯𝑛𝘦𝑟𝘴 𝘔𝑟. The 𝐓𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐓𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐬 and 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐥 events were formally 𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 by 𝐌𝐫. 𝐙𝐮𝐥𝐟𝐢𝐤𝐚𝐫 𝐍𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐢, 𝐀𝐝𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐮𝐭𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐫-𝐈 and 𝐌𝐫. 𝐅𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐳 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧, 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐫 and 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐬, 𝐌𝐫. 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐚𝐧 𝐀𝐡𝐦𝐞𝐝. In Jenga, Inshal Jawaid (2nd Year MBBS) claimed first place, while Deepa Kumari (3rd Year MBBS) secured the runner-up position. The Throwball match saw the MBBS 2nd Year Team take the lead over the Nursing Team, and in Table Tennis, Raheel (1st Year MBBS) emerged victorious. The Football match concluded with the Third & Fourth year as Winner and First & Final Year secured a place as Runner-up.

The meeting addressed and approved several strategic decisions, including confirmation of previous minutes, review of actions taken on earlier resolutions, endorsement of Academic Council recommendations, and faculty and officer appointments as proposed by the Selection Board. The Annual Budget Estimates for 2025-2026 were also passed, ensuring robust financial planning to support future initiatives. The General Body Meeting of the 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗛𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹𝘀 & 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗣𝗛&𝗖𝗔) was held on Thursday, 7th August 2025 at The University of Modern Sciences and Indus Medical College & Hospital, Tando Muhammad Khan. The meeting was jointly chaired by Syed Junaid Ali Shah (President PH&CA), Mr. Qamar Zaman (President PH&CA – Sindh Region), and Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Memon (Joint Secretary PH&CA), and attended by other prominent office bearers. The session began with Tilawat-e-Kalam-e-Pak, followed by a welcome note from Mr. Qamar Zaman highlighting recent achievements and future goals of the Association.

The meeting featured detailed discussions on educational collaborations, particularly student and staff exchange programs among member institutions, compliance with Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations, and a proposed joint procurement policy aimed at improving cost-efficiency and standardization. The house also reviewed strategies for expanding PH&CA membership across Sindh to strengthen institutional engagement and representation. A comprehensive infrastructure tour of Indus Medical College & Hospital and The University of Modern Sciences, led by Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Memon, showcased the host institution’s healthcare and academic facilities, further reinforcing the value of integrated private healthcare networks.

As part of the ongoing 78th Independence Day celebrations, a flag hoisting ceremony was conducted in the presence of all members. A special Independence Resolution was also signed, symbolizing the Association’s unwavering dedication to the values of unity, sacrifice, and national progress under the national theme “Marka-e-Haq.” The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Memon, expressing appreciation for the collective commitment of all participants.
