Men’s Mental Health: A Conversation That Matters
At WestPoint Vision, we don’t just talk about performance and results, we care about people.
This Men’s Mental Health Month, we proudly hosted an awareness session led by Dr. Muhammad Ibrahim Siawash Durrani, a trauma-informed counselling psychologist, to open up space for real, meaningful conversations, the kind that often go unspoken in workplaces.
In a world that often tells men to “stay strong” and “keep going,” this session created space to pause, reflect, and speak openly about the silent battles many face.
Dr. Siawash shared practical, everyday tips for maintaining mental well-being simple steps that can make a powerful difference:
1. Start your morning with a 5-minute gratitude check-in.
2. Take short walking breaks, movement clears the mind.
3. Set realistic expectations to reduce internal pressure.
4. Talk to someone you trust.
5. Aim for 7–8 hours of quality sleep.
6. Unplug from screens and reconnect with yourself.
“Mental health is not a destination, but a daily practice.” - Dr. Ibrahim Siawash
And to our female colleagues: your empathy, openness, and willingness to listen can be the bridge many men need to start speaking up.
A huge thank you to our global and local teams for showing up with curiosity, compassion, and courage and to our leadership for continuously investing in well-being initiatives that make a difference.
Let’s keep creating a culture where mental health matters every day for everyone.
