The event “From Compliance to Care – Redefining Hospital Pharmacy Practice”, held on 11 February 2026 at Peshawar General Hospital, marked a significant milestone in advancing patient-centered pharmacy services.

Organized by Pakistan Society of Health-System Pharmacists (PSHP) in collaboration with the host institution and supported by Healthcare Commission Peshawar, the event emphasized strengthening hospital pharmacy practices through quality assurance, safe medication management, and the expansion of clinical pharmacy roles.

A special acknowledgment goes to Himmel Education, the academic partner of the event, whose valuable educational collaboration and commitment to advancing global best practices significantly enriched the scientific discourse and learning experience. Their contribution played a key role in bridging international expertise with local healthcare needs.

The gathering brought together pharmacy professionals, hospital leadership, and healthcare experts to share insights, discuss implementation strategies, and align hospital pharmacy operations with recognized standards—ultimately reinforcing the pharmacist’s vital role in improving patient outcomes and healthcare quality.

Pakistan Society of Health-System Pharmacists hosted a 1-day workshop in Lahore on 31st Jan 2026, focusing on "Detect, Report, Prevent: The Role of ADR & ADE Tracking".
~50 pharmacists from public and private sectors enhanced their skills in tracking, analysis and risk management of ADRs (Adverse drug reactions), Medication error and Near miss errors.
