Our idea is an extension of the concept of suspended coffees and meals prevalent in the UK, Australia, China and Italy. Instead of simply paying for a meal and having that reserved for someone who cannot afford it, we've designed a long-term strategy to enable the underprivileged. You still pay the cost of an extra meal but this money goes into a suspended box in the partnered restaurant. The mone
y goes into our Trust's bank account at the end of the month so we can publish a statement of how much we have collected. We aim to ensure maximum transparency so you know where your money is going. This money is used to assist the katchi abaadis in Islamabad, through two phases. Within the first two months, the amounts will be used to buy ration for the katchi abaadis. After the first two months, the money collected will be utilized to assist the residents in setting up small-scale businesses to ensure a consistent source of earning, for themselves and their families. Additionally, funds will be used to put children residing in the katchi abaadis through school. We understand the significance of charity but we think charity should enable people instead of merely making them reliant on you.
