A preparatory session for TOACS, organized for IMM and FCPS/MS students, was successfully conducted today on Sep 27, 2025 by Unit IV Lady Aitchison Hospital under chairmanship of Prof. Dr Meher Un Nisa. The session provided participants with practical exposure and guidance for their upcoming examinations.

The event was attended by the Medical Superintendent Dr Sobia(guest of honour), Professor Dr Abida Sajid, consultants/senior registrars(Unit IV) and faculty from Unit 5, Lady Willingdon hospital, and the Neonatology Department, along with former postgraduate residents. Their presence greatly enriched the session and appreciated this fruitful academic activity.

Active participation from residents and students created an engaging learning environment. Dr.mumtaz ,Dr nuzhat,Dr.rizwan, Biomedicine engineer Sabeen Razi attended closing ceremony.We extend our gratitude to the organizing team, faculty, and all attendees for their support and encouragement, which contributed to the success of this academic activity.

An Awareness seminar and walk on “Cervical Cancer Prevention by HPV vaccination “was arranged by Gynae and Obs Department Unit IV Lady Aitchison Hospital under chairmanship of Prof.Dr Meher Un Nisa in the Conference Room of Lady Aitchison Hospital Lahore on Saturday I.e. 20/09/2025.Vice Chancellor Prof.Dr.Mehmood Ayaz was patron in chief.
The Chief Organizer Professor Dr.Meher-un-Nisa ,Head of Department Unit IV LAH gave welcome speech and overviewed the agenda of the seminar and put light on the grave concerns of the common masses regarding the vaccine .A presentation on Cervical Cancer and HPV vaccination was given by Dr Arooj Mukhtar (PGR 4rth year ).Dr Samina Gardezi ,Consultant Unit IV LAH reflected on the most important questions related to the HPV vaccination.Professor Dr Uzma Hussain ,Chairperson department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology was the patron of the workshop who gave her expert reviews regarding the global call by WHO for eradication of HPV via improvement in screening and promotion of vaccination. MS LAH Dr Sobia Javed was the Guest of Honour who spoke on behalf of the panel of experts and praised the efforts of Prof Dr Meher Un Nisa on conducting an awareness seminar on such a hot topic .Prof Dr Abida Sajid joined the seminar from Unit V LAH and enlightened all with important information.DMS Dr Saad ,NS Safia Shahab with all senior staff also graced the event with their presence.Consultants and SRs from Unit IV Dr Samina Gardezi,Dr Maria ,Dr Saleha ,Dr Hina Zafar,Dr Saman from Unit IV took keen interest in seminar conduction.
Around 40 Participants from both Unit IV and Unit V ,Nursing staff LAH took great interest and found the seminar very informative and helpful.An awareness walk was conducted under the leadership of Prof Dr Uzma Hussain ,Prof Dr Meher Un Nisa and MS Dr Sobia Javed .
Feedback was taken from candidates who found it was helpful.Seminar and awareness walk was concluded with distribution of shields and certificates to facilitators ,organisers,guests and participants.

لیڈی ایچسن اسپتال لاہور میں 12 ربیع الاول کے موقع پر نہایت عقیدت و احترام کے ساتھ محفلِ میلاد کا انعقاد کیا گیا۔ اس بابرکت محفل میں حضور اکرم ﷺ کی شانِ اقدس میں درود و سلام کے نذرانے پیش کیے گئے۔ میلاد شریف کے موقع پر قرآن خوانی، قصیدہ بردہ شریف اور اجتماعی دعا کا بھی اہتمام کیا گیا۔

The National Database & Registration Authority (NADRA), in collaboration with Lady Aitchison Hospital, Lahore, has successfully launched a Pilot Project for the Birth & Death Notification Tool.

The initiative aims to ensure efficient, transparent, and technology-driven verification of vital events, thereby facilitating timely record-keeping and improving public service delivery.

🌿Good News from Lady Aitchison Hospital, Lahore 🌿

In line with the Chief Minister’s Health Initiatives to improve patient care, Lady Aitchison Hospital has added new beds 🛏️ for the comfort of patients and attendants.

When Dr. Sobia Javaid joined as Medical Superintendent, the hospital’s bed strength was 151 due to revamping. Through her hard work, dedication, and effective leadership, the bed capacity has now increased to 226. Alongside this, 4 new wards have been established, while renovation and upgradation projects have saved the millions of rupees.

Further improvements are underway as the General Labour Room and ICU upgradation projects are about to commence soon, ensuring even higher standards of maternal and critical care in the near future.

These steps will help reduce overcrowding, prevent doubling on beds, and ensure dignified and quality healthcare services for our community. 💚

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Honourable Minister for Health, the Secretary Health, and the Vice Chancellor KEMU, for their continuous support and guidance in making this progress possible.

14 اگست 2025 کی مناسبت سے لیڈی ایچیسن ہسپتال لاہور میں یومِ آزادی کے موقع پر ایک شایانِ شان تقریب کا انعقاد کیا گیا۔ تقریب کے مہمانِ خصوصی کنگ ایڈورڈ میڈیکل یونیورسٹی کے وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمود ایاز تھے، جبکہ میڈیکل سپرنٹنڈنٹ لیڈی ایچیسن ہسپتال لاہور ڈاکٹر ثوبیہ جاوید نے اُن کے ہمراہ قومی پرچم کشائی کی اور یومِ آزادی کا کیک کاٹا۔

تقریب میں پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اصغر نقی، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر ناصر چوہدری، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر رانا سہیل، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر مہرالنساء اور پروفیسر ڈاکٹر نادیہ خورشید، ڈاکٹر کاشف نصیر سمیت اراکینِ اسمبلی،ڈاکٹرز، نرسنگ اسٹاف، ایڈمنسٹریشن، پیرا میڈیکل اسٹاف اور دیگر ملازمین نے بھرپور شرکت کی۔
وائس چانسلر کنگ ایڈورڈ میڈیکل یونیورسٹی پروفیسر محمود آیاز صاحب نے خطاب کرتے ہوئے کہا آج ہم یومِ آزادی مناتے ہوئے اُن قربانیوں کو یاد کر رہے ہیں جو ہمارے بزرگوں نے اس وطن کے لیے دیں۔ ڈاکٹرز، نرسز اور پیرا میڈیکل اسٹاف… آپ اس دور کے حقیقی سپاہی ہیں، جو دن رات انسانیت کی خدمت کر کے اس مقدس وطن کی حفاظت کر رہے ہیں۔ آپ کے سفید کوٹ اور نرسنگ کی وردی صرف پیشہ نہیں بلکہ خدمت، قربانی اور عہد کی علامت ہیں۔

آئیے! آج ہم یہ وعدہ کریں کہ ایمانداری، محنت اور خلوص سے پاکستان کو صحت مند اور خوشحال بنانے میں اپنا بھرپور کردار ادا کریں گے۔ پاکستان ہمارا فخر، ہماری پہچان اور ہماری جان ہے
