Mr. Abdullah internal Monitor DHO Office South Waziristan Lower visited to TB Control Center (TBC), South Waziristan Wana Lower, it was observed that the center is functioning satisfactorily under the supervision of Dr. Muhammad Shoaib, DTO with the support of medical officers Dr. Muhammad Sadiq and Dr. Zubair Danish and other supporting staff. Despite infrastructural limitations, the staff is providing TB-related healthcare services efficiently and maintaining a clean and patient-friendly environment through personal initiative. Overall performance of the TBC team is satisfactory and commendable.

On the direction of the DHO, South Waziristan Lower, Dr Adnan Rashid, a quarterly meeting of Malaria Microscopy and RDT Centres chaired by Dr Zain ul Abidin PMO, was held at the DHO Office, Wana, by IVMP to review performance, discuss challenges, and strengthen malaria diagnosis and reporting in the district.

پرنٹ اور سوشل میڈیا میں بچوں کی اموات کی خبروں کے گردش کے بعد، ڈسٹرکٹ ہیلتھ آفیسر (DHO) ڈاکٹر عدنان داوڑ نے مقامی انتظامیہ بشمول تحصیلدار وانا اور کرمز خیل کے معزز ملک کے ہمراہ ہسپتال کا دورہ کیا تاکہ صورتحال کا جائزہ لیا جا سکے۔

دورے کے دوران پیڈیاٹرک وارڈ اور این آئی سی یو کا تفصیلی معائنہ کیا گیا، جس میں خاص طور پر وارڈز کے درجہ حرارت اور ضروری ادویات کی دستیابی پر توجہ دی گئی۔ اس بات کی تصدیق کی گئی کہ تمام متعلقہ وارڈز میں ہیٹرز نصب ہیں، این آئی سی یو کا درجہ حرارت مناسب حد میں برقرار ہے، اور بچوں کی ضروری ادویات وافر مقدار میں دستیاب ہیں۔

محکمہ صحت معیاری طبی سہولیات کی فراہمی، ادویات کی بروقت دستیابی اور بچوں کے لیے محفوظ ماحول کو یقینی بنانے کے لیے پُرعزم ہے اور کسی بھی کوتاہی سے بچاؤ کے لیے مسلسل نگرانی جاری رکھے گا

DHO Dr. Adnan Visit to Spin Hospital
DHO paid a detailed visit to Spin Hospital and inspected all departments. A cleanliness drive was in progress; however, the utilization of hospital equipment was found to be below acceptable standards.
The DHO expressed serious concern over the semi-functional state of the laboratory. The hygiene conditions particularly at the staining area were highly unprofessional and unsafe. The DHO categorically directed the Medical Superintendent (MS) to issue a show-cause notice to the lab attendants and ensure that the laboratory becomes fully functional within three days, with a compliance report submitted directly to the DHO.
The DHO also inspected the burning pit used for medical waste and emphasized the need for proper waste disposal practices. Additionally, a significant amount of abandoned and unused furniture was observed within the facility .the DHO directed that this furniture be retrieved, repaired where possible, and properly utilized to improve hospital functionality.
A thorough discussion was held on the steps required to enhance overall service delivery and upgrade facility standards.
On a positive note, all staff members except the lab attendants were present during the visit, which was appreciated.
