Removal of a fascinating cholesterol gallbladder stone!
What does it resemble? 🥚

The gallbladder is a small, pear-shaped organ on the right side of the abdomen, just beneath the liver. It holds a digestive fluid called bile that's released into the small intestine.

Gallstones come in many different shapes, sizes, and quantities. They can be made up of a variety of different combinations and percentages of cholesterol, bile salts, lecithin, bilirubin, etc.
Cholesterol stones account for > 85% of gallstones, and for them to actually form, bile must be supersaturated with cholesterol, with nucleation and stone growth.

Normally, water-insoluble cholesterol is made water soluble by combining with bile salts and lecithin to form mixed micelles. Supersaturation of bile with cholesterol most commonly results from excessive cholesterol secretion but may result from a decrease in bile salt secretion or in lecithin secretion.
Thus, the excess cholesterol must precipitate from solution as solid microcrystals, which aggregates and grows.
Yellow snd soft gallstones have more cholesterol in them, black ones have more bilirubin, and hard ones likely have more bile salt component to them.
Migration of a gallstone into the opening of the cystic duct may block the outflow of bile during gallbladder contraction. The resulting increase in gallbladder wall tension produces the characteristic type of pain we know as biliary colic. Cystic duct obstruction, if it persists for more than a few hours, may lead to acute gallbladder inflammation (acute cholecystitis).
Choledocholithiasis on the other hand, refers to the presence of gallstones in the common bile duct. Usually, this occurs when a gallstone successfully passes further all the way from gallbladder to the cystic duct and into the common bile duct.

In the developed world most deliveries occur in hospital, while in the developing world most of them take place at home with the support of a traditional birth attendant.

The most common way of childbirth is a vaginal delivery. It involves three stages of labour: the shortening and opening of the cervix, descent and birth of the baby, and the delivery of the placenta. The first stage typically lasts twelve to nineteen hours, the second stage twenty minutes to two hours, and the third stage five to thirty minutes. The first stage begins with crampy abdominal or back pains that last around half a minute and occur every ten to thirty minutes. The crampy pains become stronger and closer together over time. During the second stage pushing with contractions may occur. In the third stage delayed clamping of the umbilical cord is generally recommended. A number of methods can help with pain such as relaxation techniques, opioids, and spinal blocks.

Most babies are born head first; however about 4% are born feet or buttock first, known as breech.

نوجوان عبدالستار کے دل پر داغ پڑ گیا , سوچا معاشرے میں تین قسم کے لوگ ہیں دوسروں کو مارنے والے مرنے والوں کا تماشا دیکھنے والے اور زخمیوں کی مدد کرنے والے .. نوجوان عبدالستار نے فیصلہ کیا وہ مدد کرنے والوں میں شامل ہو گا اور پھر کپڑے کا کاروبار چھوڑکر ایک ایمبولینس خریدی اس پر اپنا نام لکھا، نیچے ٹیلی فون نمبر لکھا اور کراچی شہر میں زخمیوں اور بیماروں کی مدد شروع کر دی.
وہ اپنے ادارے کے ڈرائیور بھی تھے، آفس بوائے بھی ٹیلی فون آپریٹر بھی سویپر بھی اور مالک بھی ،وہ ٹیلی فون سرہانے رکھ کر سوتے فون کی گھنٹی بجتی یہ ایڈریس لکھتے اور ایمبولینس لے کر چل پڑتے زخمیوں اور مریضوں کو ہسپتال پہنچاتے سلام کرتے اور واپس آ جاتے .. عبدالستار نے سینٹر کے سامنے لوہے کا غلہ رکھ دیا لوگ گزرتے وقت اپنی فالتو ریزگاری اس میں ڈال دیتے تھے یہ سینکڑوں سکے اور چند نوٹ اس ادارے کا کل اثاثہ تھے .. یہ فجر کی نماز پڑھنے مسجد گئے وہاں مسجد کی دہلیز پر کوئی نوزائیدہ بچہ چھوڑ گیا تھا ،ایک شخص نےاس بچے کو ناجائز قرار دے کر لوگوں سےقتل کرنے کاکہا،لوگ جیسے ہی مارنے کے لیے آئے توعبدالستار ایدھی پتھر اٹھا کر ان کے سامنے کھڑے ہو گئے اوران سے بچہ لیا۔ بچے کی پرورش کی آج وہ بچہ بنک میں بڑا افسر ہے ..
یہ نعشیں اٹھانے بھی جاتے تھے پتا چلا گندے نالے میں نعش پڑی ہے یہ وہاں پہنچے دیکھا لواحقین بھی نالے میں اتر کر نعش نکالنے کے لیے تیار نہیں عبدالستار ایدھی نالے میں اتر گیا, نعش نکالی گھر لائے غسل دیا کفن پہنایا جنازہ پڑھایا اور اپنے ہاتھوں سے قبر کھود کر نعش دفن کر دی .. بازاروں میں نکلے تو بے بس بوڑھے دیکھے پاگلوں کو کاغذ چنتے دیکھا آوارہ بچوں کو فٹ پاتھوں پر کتوں کے ساتھ سوتے دیکھا تو اولڈ پیپل ہوم بنا دیا پاگل خانے بنا لیے چلڈرن ہوم بنا دیا دستر خوان بنا دیئے عورتوں کو مشکل میں دیکھا تو میٹرنٹی ہوم بنا دیا .. لوگ ان کے جنون کو دیکھتے رہے ان کی مدد کرتے رہے یہ آگے بڑھتے رہے یہاں تک کہ ایدھی فاؤنڈیشن ملک میں ویلفیئر کا سب سے بڑا ادارہ بن گیا یہ ادارہ 2000 میں گنیز بک آف ورلڈ ریکارڈ میں بھی آ گیا .. ایدھی صاحب نے دنیا کی سب سے بڑی پرائیویٹ ایمبولینس سروس بنا دی .. عبدالستار ایدھی ملک میں بلا خوف پھرتے تھے یہ وہاں بھی جاتے جہاں پولیس مقابلہ ہوتا تھا یا فسادات ہو رہے ہوتے تھے پولیس ڈاکو اور متحارب گروپ انہیں دیکھ کر فائرنگ بند کر دیا کرتے تھے ملک کا بچہ بچہ قائداعظم اور علامہ اقبال کے بعد عبدالستار ایدھی کو جانتا ہے ..
ایدھی صاحب نے 2003 تک گندے نالوں سے 8 ہزار نعشیں نکالی 16 ہزار نوزائیدہ بچے پالے.. انہوں نے ہزاروں بچیوں کی شادیاں کرائی یہ اس وقت تک ویلفیئر کے درجنوں ادارے چلا رہے تھے لوگ ان کے ہاتھ چومتے تھے عورتیں زیورات اتار کر ان کی جھولی میں ڈال دیتی تھیی نوجوان اپنی موٹر سائیکلیں سڑکوں پر انہیں دے کر خود وین میں بیٹھ جاتے تھے .. عبدالستار ایدھی آج اس دنیا میں نہیں ھیں مگر ان کے بنائے ھوئے فلاحی ادارے دکھی انسانیت کی خدمت میں مصروف ھیں..
