The care for children with special needs (CCSNS) established in 1994 through the initiative group of academics concerned with the availability and quality of caree for children with communication disabilities . operating under a license from the ministry of social affairs and the ministry of health CCSNS opened speech therapy department to provide rehabilitation for children who suffer from commun
ication disorders and learning disabilities , we also opened Al- atta' school which provide special education for students with special need such as learning disabled slow learner , mental retarded down syndrome , autism and students who are fitted by hearing or cochlear . CCSNS have a hearing department with provide diagnostic hearing tests and also provide hearing aids and fitting for those who in need . Today , CCSNS provide early detection and prevention programes for speech ,language an hearing disorders in the north of west bank , studies have indicated that in the palestinian territories 10-15% of the disabilities identifies in the school-age children include communication disorders . we also opened physical rehabilitation department , occupational therapy ,physiotherapy ) dealing with physical disabilities , and working in improving in dependency in activity of daily living and family education .
تأسست جمعية رعاية الاطفال ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة سنة 1994 م بمبادرة مجموعة من الاكادميين المعنيين و المهتمين برعاية الاطفال ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة . الجمعية هي مؤسسة خيرية مرخصة من وزراتي الشؤون الاجتماعية ووزراة الصحة في السلطة الوطنية الفلسطينية , و هي ذات اهداف انسانية لتلبية احتياجات ابناء شعبنا و توفير التدريب اللازم للافراد الذين يعانون في اضطرابات في النطق و اللغة و السمع و صعوبات في التعليم , عملت الجمغية على تأسيس مركز علاج النطق و اللغة الذي يمتد في خدماته الى منطقة الشمال نظرا لافتقارها للخدمة المميزة التي يقوم بها المركز , فقد كشفت عدة دراسات ان ما يزيد عن 2% من مجمل سكان الاراضي الفلسطينية يعانون من نوع ما من انواع الاعاقة و انما بين 10 -15 % من الاطفال في سن المدرسة يعانون من اضطرابات في الكلام و التخاطب .
