Claria Yoga Life

Claria Yoga Life Calm stress and gain more ease of movement. My methods are adaptive and kind ❤️ Unlock your body's natural ability by moving with it, not against it.

With Gentle Yoga and Self-Care that is simple, supportive and manageable, I help you reclaim time for yourself, and move through life with more ease in body and mind. By respecting your body, its structure, shape, life-cycle and individuality, you develop a more peaceful relationship with your body and yourself. Applying movement that suits how you are built will help you to access the healing benefits of that movement:

** To relieve tense muscles, aching joints, general physical discomfort and tightness
** To achieve inner calm, experience deep relaxation, and gently relieve stress and anxiety

With body awareness and mindfulness, which are at the core of practising yoga with a functional approach, you can embrace and support your uniqueness with a practice that will help to strengthen, challenge, stretch and balance your body safely, and calm, relieve and ground your mind.

Self-compassion can feel unfamiliar, especially if you’re used to pushing through or holding it all together. But it’s not weakness, it’s support.

The way you speak to yourself matters. And you deserve the same gentleness you offer others.

If you would like some gentle guidance today to help you back towards feeling a little kindness towards yourself, try my free meditation (see link in first comment or in my bio) 💕

The end of the year has a way of speeding everything up.
Even if you love this season, the extra noise, expectations, and emotional layers can quietly overwhelm your nervous system.

If you’re feeling more tired, more reactive, or more scattered than usual, you’re not failing. You’re responding to a season that asks a lot.

Calm doesn’t require escaping it all. It lives in the small pauses: a breath, a softened jaw, a moment of stillness before the next thing.

Let this be your reminder that you don’t have to keep pushing. You’re allowed to slow down, opt out where you can, and tend to yourself with kindness.

💛 If you’d like support in finding steadiness during this busy time, browse my video library, offering you gentle, grounding yoga and meditation practices, for moments of quiet relief among the end-of-year bustle (see link in first comment)

So many mornings begin with tension — before we’re even fully awake. The mind jumps ahead, the body tightens, and we step into the day already in “go mode.”

But presence doesn’t require a long ritual. A single moment of slowing down, breathing and noticing, can shift your whole inner pace.

The simple practice in this carousel is an invitation to begin softly; to check in with yourself before the world arrives, and to honour your body, your breath, and your needs — even for half a minute. Just a gentle pause is enough.

Save this and maybe try it tomorrow morning 🌸

Stress often lives in our body, and we don’t realise it.

Tight shoulders, a stiff neck, a clenched jaw… these are all ways that the body often carries the mind’s load and worry.

Mindful movement and gentle breathing can help you notice and release this tension. Even a small pause to roll your shoulders, slowly stretch your arms out and up, or simply take a couple of deep breaths — these gentle actions tell your nervous system that it’s safe to soften.

Try the mini-practice in the slides the next time you feel tightening through your shoulders and upper body.

Notice the difference, even if it’s subtle.

And if you’d like a more guided, gentle ways to unwind, you’re always welcome to join me at Claria Yoga Life for a little time to reconnect, breathe, and release what no longer serves you 🦋 (https://www.clariayoga.com)

You don’t need to empty your thoughts…or work through a list of specific things… That’s the beauty of Restorative Yoga - it works gently, layer by layer, as you lie there, supported, comfortable, “doing” nothing at all.

That’s when the most powerful of shifts can take place - as you rest, your body and mind restore.

Join me in the calm, quiet and stillness of tonight’s sleep session - https://www.clariayoga.com/schedule

If you’ve ever tried to stop your thoughts and felt frustrated that you couldn’t, you’re not alone. I and plenty of others do it too.

Our minds are designed to think. The more we fight that, the more tangled we become in the noise…

Instead, mindfulness invites a softer way: by simply noticing what’s here — thoughts, sensations, feelings — without trying to fix, silence or change them. Over time, that noticing creates breathing space. And in that space, peace and stillness slowly make themselves known.

Next time your mind feels too busy, try the little clouds practice from the post above. It only takes a minute, but it can gradually change the way you meet your thoughts.

💛 If you’d like more practices like this, you’re always welcome to join me for a mindful yoga or meditation session at Claria Yoga Life — where you can gently return to calm, one breath at a time.

30 minutes can easily slip away into loop thinking, random scrolling, persistent worrying…

Tomorrow, I’m guiding a live 30-minute Yang Yin class on Zoom — a little movement to shake off the noise, followed by soothing Yin stillness to settle your whole system.

It’s not a workout.
It’s not a performance.
It’s simply time a for you (and me 🙂)…

Come as you are — camera on or off, it’s entirely up to you.

If you’d like to share that gentle half hour with me, you’re very welcome.
