Movement is Medicine
Movement Medicine is a conscious dance practice, a meditation through movement, where through dance you return to the present moment and to who you really are. It was developed by Ya'Acov and Susannah Darling Khan, being influenced by its 17 years of teaching of 5Rhythms, shamanism and Gestalt psychotherapy. Dance is the vehicle and an invitation for self-discovery.....of your own unique dance. Beyond right or wrong, any shapes or steps, judgements and conditioning, you dance because you like to, you dance your dance. ..of the body. Bringing awareness to the body, rooting the attention in the physicality, you awaken the body from within, expanding your movement vocabulary, letting go of tensions and reconnecting with the life force that inhabits you. Embodying what is moving in you, you become present and congruent. .. of the heart. When you move, you become aware of how you really feel, allowing yourself to listen, feel, express and move any state or emotion, in a safely held and accepting space. E-motion, is energy that once put into motion, already detached from associations with meaning and interpretations, can transform itself. Connecting authentically with yourself, others and community, being seen through their mirroring and holding. ..of the mind. Recognizing and moving beyond self-limiting patterns, old stories and concepts, letting go of what doesn’t serve anymore, there is more spaciousness and freedom, as you surrender into what is unknown, being the unknown itself...of being. When the mind is rooted in the body, the heart is free to feel, life energy is flowing freely, there is no more separation. You are not dancing anymore, but you are danced...until you disappear and rediscover yourself as the dance itself.

Usando a fisicalidade como forma de auto-conhecimento e auto-descoberta, vamos para além da mente e damos espaço ao que é, sem julgamento. Voltamos à sabedoria do corpo, à alegria da vida que somos e que está sempre lá, esperando a nossa atenção e permissão...

..para ver e mover para além de padrões auto-limitantes, revelando mais espaço e liberdade, estando e sendo o próprio desconhecido...
